Great Interview...

I'm such a big Lil' Wayne fan – and know so much about his career/life – that I usually don't even check out his interviews. That's because the run-of-the-mill reporters [who interview him] ask the superficial questions that all of his fans already know [the answers to]. This wasn't one of those generic interviews, though.

This was a good interview; and I think it's one of the Top-2 Lil Wayne interviews that I've come across in 15+ years (alongside the Nardwuar one).

Shout out to the crew for letting Ryan Clark take the lead on this one, because he knew enough to ask enough (yet, he did miss on big novel question).

...Great Interview

They definitely didn't do their homework. He's answered most of these questions more honestly beforehand. As much as they tried to glaze, they really couldn't fathom the talent and work ethic he put into the music

These guys kill me how they are obviously either racist or haters. Eminem isn’t even mentioned? He’s by far better than Jay Z. Not even a mention how Wayne tried for years to get Em on a track. Eminem is the best wordsmith to EVER hold a microphone. I’m so tired of him being left out of the conversation because he is white.

I'm sayin, why Lil Wayne keep looking more and more like some type of rodent as time progresses tho? I know dudes music from back in highschool 9th/10th grade 1999/2000. This should not be the case considering how much money the kid has made... similar to how Snoop made so much money yet still so skinny, ha ha. Not hating, jus' sayin'.

My intro to Wayne's music came via the Juvenile 400 Degrees album, yall remember that? Back dat a$$ up, run for it, etc. was poppin' back then, was a total different new sound with a new rhyme style. Can't bring back those times, rappers has to really carve their own niche and master their craft and that wasn't even really peak Hip Hop then, arguably for me peak was from say 1992-1998 with the tail end 2000-2005, etc. Then after that started progressively getting more generic. Today I can't listen to new Hip Hop anymore, it's completely unrecognizable to what it once was. Different era, different time completely. Wayne is like a year or 2 older than me. Wild. I'm the same age or close to LeBron's age. Crazy how time moves!
