@BollForte94 Lol his footwork? He pretty much stays in the same spot for most points And all you do is have your legs far apart..

@TabletennisDavid It wasn't a joke, and i used to play TT competitvely. hsi feet almost dont move.. He moves within a 5 feet area. Not that big.

The difference between an effective player (Boll) and an impressive one (Mattenet) is that the first does the job whereas the second could have. Does Adrien really want to win or does he just want to play?

@JackIntheBK you obviously didn't play on a high level because you need brilliant footwork to compeed with the best...

@MrWaaghals - 19.09.2010 02:08

@JackIntheBK It's simple: Boll does have a very good footwork and is almost never to late for a ball, he has his legs far apart because it helps. And i bet you did'nt play on a very high level where footwork was'nt that important. Otherwise you would'nt say such a stupid thing

@JackIntheBK Again: you must have played (or playing) at a rather low level at table tennis (not ping pong!), because otherwise you would't say such a stupid thing. Footwork is extremely important in table tennis. Boll has practiced hours and hours on his footwork and now he has the footwork where you and I could only dream about, do you really think they would train so hard on something that doesn't really mather?

I never did call it TT. TT just sounds stupid. Most of those fast shots depend on your hand eye coordination . And the slow shots anybody can get to. The fast shots to the corners can be retreived by a stretch of the arm or body. As long as your feet are somwhere even remotly close to where the ball is, you can just lean to whatever side the ball is going. I dont care what Boll trains. Foot work isn't that important in PING PONG. And yes i did play at a fairly high level of PING PONG.

I think I talk for everyone here if I say that footwork is one of the most important things in TABLE TENNIS (not ping pong, go play ping pong on a camping). That's why timo is one of the best. Of course hand eye coordination is important, but foot work is more important. Especially at a high level.

@RikkarudoGarcia u know what ...if this french guy gets too popular wininng some big matches , there would be a time when the chinese would decode his game(like knowing the weaknesses and flaws) the way they know of the top 10 players .. if u know what i mean !

He needs to take a lesson from Maze, and realize that lobbing is not a legitimate strategy, especially not against the Chinese, you have to stick close to the table and stay aggressive.

@JackIntheBK btw, if you talk about PING PONG it doesn't make sense to post such pointless comments under a TABLE TENNIS video ;)

@stephanepicardmagic - 19.09.2010 20:07

Mattenet is too far from the table, and Boll never loses the points in those conditions. So, it is impossible for Mattenet to win the match by playing like so. He must be more aggressive.

man mattenet was playing amazing the first portion of the first game, his long game is pretty incredible, especially his backhand comparatively. Its too bad his short game is pretty bad.

No offense to any French people, but he French players must have attitude problems.... because all of them, react pretty badly when they lose a point, or when they miss. Ideally you want to be less emotional, and to take each point one at a time, without thinking about what happened the last point.

Adrian should have continued with the strategy off the 1st game. using more forehand, staying closer to the table and attacking Timo's backhand. in the last 3 games Timo moved him around and Adrian always tried to win points fishing. that was a. really bad strategy against Timo

Der Franzose ist unglaublich gut, ein phantastischer Spieler...aber Boll hat das Händchen eines Meisters, der immer noch zulegen kann und nach Bedarf ein Gang höher schalten kann.
