Eaten anything Drinkun anything. HAHAHA
ОтветитьWas that funny 😢
Ответитьthat woman telling the story looks like Alex Borstein (voice of Lois Griffin)
ОтветитьWell we need more Ted Patrick's in the world because most religions brainwash you. Just because you think you have rights doesn't mean anything. Religion is one of the oldest money scams still running today.
ОтветитьWhere’s high history???
ОтветитьNot that I'll get an answer, but are these filmed in New York, or LA...? Anyone know?
ОтветитьLook some people are are okay with the practices of cults and just don't want the headache of the worldly things. If I no longer have to worry about going to work or paying an electric bill I might be interested in just teaching classes to children and cooking food to earn my spot.. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
ОтветитьIf this is the cult I think it is, then swindling followers out of their money was the LEAST disgusting thing they did.
ОтветитьHey Comedy Central here's an idea, why not use the word, "F*ck" 1,000 times in your scripts? It's not like anyone else is using that word-in everything they write.
ОтветитьWhy did we gloss over Ted getting a karate kid on the way? That sounds like a fun story
ОтветитьHow come black people and white women can play white men, but white men can't play black people on this show....or any show? The hypocrisy is so thick...
ОтветитьDid he save his son?
ОтветитьCOOL edition
ОтветитьYeah! Santee, my town put on the map😄👍
Ответитьtiktok wishes it could have this level of lipsync.
ОтветитьI thought he burned the place down.
ОтветитьMaybe we could get him to deprogram the Trumpkins?
Ответить😐
ОтветитьAs a native San Diegan who grew up basically in Santee and spent almost every weekend at Mission Beach this actually gave me goosebumps to learn about. I can’t believe Ive never heard about this before.
ОтветитьFebruary 18, 2023. Mr. Ted Patrick is 93 years old.
Ответитьi think the idea that deprogramming takes exactly three days and then you are fully cured is hilarious
ОтветитьSo why is he controversial? Did he fall to the darkside later on in his career?
ОтветитьThanks mindless algorythm (:
ОтветитьI like how he would be out on bail for KIDNAPPING or other charges and would still rescue cult members knowing he was risking his own liberty to save people trapped in cults
Ответитьguy sounds like a cool dude but this chick explaining it is driving me nuts I cant listen to her
Ответитьkind of funny but also kind of gay..
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful story.
ОтветитьThis reminds me of a problem that already happened in history… Jonestown
ОтветитьCult v religion: is a "cult" a small religion or is a "religion" a large cult? Cheers....
ОтветитьFor years, I've wondered exactly what deprogramming was - not constantly or anything like that, but whenever the term popped up. I guess it was a big news story in the 70s as even Peanuts mentioned it in a storyline where Marcie started hanging out with Linus to see the Great Pumpkin (though she kept referring to him as the Great Grape much to Linus' anger). Her parents apparently felt Linus was a cult of one as she mentioned to Peppermint Patty that her parents had deprogrammed her.
ОтветитьDid they ever make a film of this guy?
It may sound like a far idea but it might work as a comedy as well if you think about it
Ted's methods must be reused to deal with the TREASONOUS MAGA CULT!
ОтветитьThis is one of my favorite stories from the series, I’m glad it popped up again so I can remember to be in my right mind always
ОтветитьBruuuh...where tf is the movie!!!!
ОтветитьFor anyone interested I really recommend Cult Podcast’s series on deprogramming. They go into a lot of the nuances that aren’t fully shown here and is overall super interesting!
ОтветитьThis man should be put in jail and sued for kidnapping and assault. Oh wait, he was. Multiple times. NOT a hero.
ОтветитьShe’s such a little fox
ОтветитьOof. Yikes. Don’t do this. It’s super illegal, traumatic and will very often backfire extremely badly.
ОтветитьI heard about this guy through a recording of a brother from the Christ Family, the "cult" my parents were from, the leader of that "cults" name was Lightning Amen, after hearing the story and hearing the name black lightning I looked him up and thats how I got here. It's interesting that his story would one day be told in such a way, being that he was pretty much the opposite of my Leader Lightning Amen in every way
ОтветитьWow mind Programming is real...
ОтветитьHillary is talking about deprogramming people from TrumpISM.
ОтветитьVery similar to YWAM
ОтветитьTed Patrick is a great guy
ОтветитьI was on a jury for a Ted Patrick case in San Diego in 1980. He was found guilty of kidnapping and conspiracy. It was based on one family and their daughter. By law, the daughter had a right to stay in the cult. It was a crazy story.
ОтветитьYupp. Sounds like some clantee fuckery fr
Ответитьbeing against meat.... was a big redflag in my opinion
ОтветитьThe most cute beautiful funny girl.
ОтветитьBrother Ted got the Denzel walk down pat
