I’m looking to get a pair but don’t have a seller nearby where I can try them on, and I’m struggling with understanding the sizing.
What size vans or chucks do you wear? I also have wide feet and usually half-size up in converse because they’re too narrow for me

Such a cool looking boot.

They are used by "some" operators for maritime or "wet" operations. They are not meant for long continued everyday use like infantry roles. I do use these almost exclusively in the summer because they have probably the best mobility I have ever seen with "some" ankle support, so when doing anything in urban enviroments these are gold especially in urban warzones. Of course that is just my own anecdotal opinion so take it for what its worth. If you want to move light and fast these are for you. If you are going to hold down a position in an urban combat zone or spend a lot of time fighting in the city like in Ukraine then use the Rocky S2Vs or the Belleville TR550WPINS for that infantry stuff. Rocky's are heavy duty and I have a well used pair of them. Worth every penny you spend on them.

However pair the Altamas with some sealskinz and you are set.
