Happy Thanksgiving
ОтветитьBorn in 1964. I can totally relate.
ОтветитьHappy Thanksgiving! Appreciate your wisdom and humblness, always❤
Ответить58 and grew up lower middle class. You go girl.
ОтветитьYup...100%......the 2 biggest problems i remember were AIDS and Acid Rain.....nobody cares or talks about those anymore. We must have solved those. Nope. Its a new nightmare every other day these days. Im tired of it.
ОтветитьBorn in 1967, practically raised myself😂😂
Ответить100% spot on, Happy Thanksgiving
ОтветитьI’m a boomer but I’m in touch with how things have changed. I have empathy for my children, that have grown up, in a much different world than my upbringing.
Until boomers, see how things are more difficult, today, we won’t care to understand our children. Play outside? Yes, I did a lot. Nowadays your child could be taken.
Malachi 4:5-6
[5] “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. [6] And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”
Life was simpler and better back we were kids.
Ответить100% TRUE! I'm a boomer. Society really changed since then. Today is way too liberal IMHO. We all didn't like liver in our household, but we learned to like Brussel sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower!
ОтветитьHa ha right! Still trying to pass this on to my kids too🎉
ОтветитьI am a Gen X and I don't expect anything from anyone but I am not going to pick on our future generations either because they have their own hardships in the world too.........And I was an 80's girl and perhaps it's just me but I don't remember it being that great. Perhaps is the family I grew up in? Not sure ......but at least when U R an adult U can make your own choices. I much prefer my life in 2024 than I did in in The 80's and 90's.
ОтветитьYep ❤
ОтветитьHope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!🧡🦃
ОтветитьareYou getting old? each generations talk like this, see Yours dogs ,was time they were on chain outside.Let it go, we change world let them make changes too, now is time to enjoy what we achieved....
ОтветитьI grew up with that all. Born 1986...My spouse born 1977 but our upbringings were pretty different plus different cultures. Anyhow, I'm grateful for my basic needs are being met, employment, working vehicle, family (even though majority is in the SF bay area, CA), my small family of my child and his kitty.
Ответить:) thank you!!! I was raised this exact way
ОтветитьI hope you had a Very Blessed Thanksgiving , sis!
ОтветитьWe had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners that received a ribbon or trophy.
No one else got anything for just showing up but everyone enjoyed Kool-Aid and a snack and sometimes even an ice cream and we ALL congratulated the winners.
When I got hand-me-downs from the neighbors, I felt honored.
Ответить💯 agree 👍🏾
ОтветитьYou are awesome! Happy Thanksgiving!
ОтветитьI miss Mr. Rogers.
ОтветитьAll true 💯
ОтветитьAsthma is not a joke.
ОтветитьWe were happier back then, life was simpler and we didnt have things handed to us but we were happier
ОтветитьGen X here… were are the best
ОтветитьWe'd die falling off the concrete play structures and our mom would tell us to shake it off and get our chores done.
ОтветитьGen Xer here. I am SO thankful that I was born in the early 70s.
ОтветитьYou’re describing Baby Boomers
Ответить😂…soooo true 😎🙏!
ОтветитьWho remembers bookmobiles?
ОтветитьYes! So we’re lucky to be Gen X. Great video. I love the colors in your home, so cozy and peaceful
ОтветитьYou are a displaced boomer.....thanks for the stroll down memory lane...
ОтветитьI remember when "Boomer" was considered to be between 1945 to 1960 then for some reason it was changed to "45 to 65" by whom ever. All this gen this, that and the other is just BS and is meant to be used for division. IMHO.
ОтветитьSorry. 😂 you cant be a millenial ( Gen Y) and claim to be GenX. Many can try but it does not work. Now we GenXers are trending cool and folks want to join. Does not work like that Princess. You are a Millenial so be proud of it. Can't identify as a GenX 😂.
ОтветитьYep, had to eat liver and onions once a week, or go hungry. Thank goodness for lots of A-1 sauce. Happy Thanksgiving ! 🥰
ОтветитьRemember when Sam Kinison "suggested" the Ethiopia be get the he'll outta the desert, and move to where the food was. Man I miss the 80s & 90s. I still drink outta the garden hose, attached to a 50 foot farm well
ОтветитьBorn in 1973, it’s was just like you said, I had a paper route from 1983 to 1987 so it was very convinient drinking from a garden hose when I got hot and thirsty.
ОтветитьBorn in 1962 and totally agree!
ОтветитьAlways found the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 better TV inputs than mom wanting to watch Lawrence welk on a snowy PBS over the air signal
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWe are Xennials ❤
Ответитьborn in 1960, hunting for soda bottles,to make my self some dough. Pepsi in bottles, moon pies, a whole 30 cents, penny candy.
ОтветитьI'm with you...one of the last ones. And thank you! My parents grew up during the great depression so they educated us kids on the real realities of life.
ОтветитьAgree with every word you said the world would be a much nicer place if we still had these values love pp from australia
ОтветитьAnd we liked it like that! I've still got my BMX bike, I rode the tires off that thing 4 times, bought new ones at Kmart.
Ответитьnow days parents want even let their kids out of the yard.i started seeing the changes back in the early 90s with the way parents were raising kids.i knew one day we would be where we are today.
ОтветитьAmen.
ОтветитьClearly you're Gen X
