I used to live in Miami, but I had no idea that it had such cool MTB trails. (I was also in grad school and stuck with my old 26” 90s full suspension bike). Just as a little history lesson: Virginia key is where the “black beach” was located during segregation. Miami is awesome and diverse today, but it’s still part of the South.

Interesting to see what a black diamond in Florida looks like. That said skinny wood sections are not my jam 😂

oooh last weekend we were there in virginia key, we doing the southern championship, Coconut Cup, you need to ride and get to know our trails in Markham Park, Amelia, Quiet Water, Oleta Park we have many parks here in Miami

I have to get down there to try those. I grew up riding Markham, and am now getting back into riding, after a long hiatus. Looks like fun there.

It would probably be really fun to smoke a little Miami crack cocaine and then hit those trails really hard.

Since I’m from central Florida ride Central Florida trails and there are a lot of great examples I did not know South Florida had a trails like that. Great video I really gotta check it out.

That first jump onto the rock was no joke. Hard to manuever get speed etc. Great job!

They used to have rock concert on Virginia Key, that’s why they named trails after famous rock songs. 🎸

Key Biscayne is not Miami Beach. Those are beaches on key Biscayne/virginia Key. Not trying to be insulting but they are not the same thing.

My home trail and where I learned. It’s an awesome system and the people behind building the park really do a great job!! I’ve never seen more wooden features at any other FL park.
