That is so sweet what you did for him, hiding a geocache in his name, it brought a tear to my eye. He seemed and was such nice boy.

I don't know why, but for some reason today we were caching out on a trail near my home, and there was a cache that we had previously looked for but couldn't find and that no-one had found since may of 2016. But for some reason this time we found it withing 10 minutes of looking, I guess Michael was helping us from above! RIP Michael Costello.

Im so Upset I couldnt go Geocaching today, But Michael was in my Heart and Spirit today! However, there is a Virtual Munzee placed in his Honor at the location of his Very First Geocache Hide! We love you Michael!

Hopefully when I'm up there is can find this letter box.

my day ended with 2 DNFs, but I also placed a cache in Michaels memory in London Ontario Canada

I couldn't get caching today, but I did get some Munzees. Getting over a sickness and couldn't go too far.

I really wish I could have gone out to cache today, but the next find I get will be in honor Michael.

So Joshua .. DLAnubis and I found 10 caches for Michael .. 3 of the caches are his. The line into the funeral home for Michael's viewing was out the front door. Family, Friends, Boy Scouts and Geocachers.💔😧

Wonderful Tribute! We found an FTF for him today in honor of him.

Very sad to see him pass. I will try to geocache soon for him. I'm a Boy Scout as well, and I am glad that he was one too.

What a great community!

I didn't get a picture of me doing geocaching but I did geocache last minute. Today was a nice day after so many days of rain and cloudy weather. My parents and I went out for a little outing. Have a drink and some appetizers. And then last minute we decided to geocache. I thought I wouldn't be able to today. But we found 2 and I found my 1st munzee. I'm happy that geocaching has brought so many people together. I'm happy we can celebrate a life all around the world. My heart goes to Michaels family.

I couldn't go out caching today, but somebody did find one of my caches in his honour. Michael was a great kid, and he should never be forgotten

I Geocaching today for Michael in while visiting the nation's capital. Got my first in cache in DC. Might place a cache in York, Pennsylvania in his honor. RIP Michael

What a great tribute both in cache and video. I won't lie it was a little emotional watching it. Very nice.

This video is great. I'm glad my family and I could have a tribute on such a beautiful day for such a great reason. This needs to bring awareness to everyone that if a child is lost it is a sad day.

What is a letterbox, I have heard of it because one day we found one that was very near a geocache, we signed the letterbox, but still have no idea what they are?

gasp ROAD TRIP!!

Very sad about him passing away :( I didn't heard before about him or this action. I see not just me had this idea that geocaching can be a part of therapy or physiotherapy in fighting a disease. I have my self Lyme Disease and started to do geocaching to get more often from home and to start excising my muscles that was almost dissapearing. Before for half a year I was seating home (even walk to shop was a challenge). In some point I couldn't imagine that I will walk normally ever again. Now we go geocache every week and I live from 1 day of geocaching to the next waiting for something (it's gives me hope and something worth waiting for... something that I know that the day will come - when my bf is off - and that again we will go and spend time in the nature, searching for next caches. My muscles getting stronger and I have more power to walk quite a lot of km. Geocaching helps me not to go into my depression modes as well. I'm curious how many more people is doing geocaching for support them physical and psychological health?!
So bad that I didn't knew before so we would do it as well at 19 Mar.

Thanks for making this moving tribute to Michael and hiding a cache, in his memory. I am so deeply humbled by your kind gestures, towards this young man, who's life was tragically, cut short.

I was browsing through random videos of yours to try to decide which to watch. When I saw this, exactly 5 years from today (I am writing this on 3/19/2022), that made my decision easy. I didn't know earlier today when I found 20+ geocaches today, but I'd like to think that the caches I found today were for Michael
