Hi All,
I just visited Tiruvannamalai and this is what I found.
1. Police are corrupted, they don't allow cabs and TT (Yellow 🟡 board " vehicles near the temple and ask us to take 🛺 auto rickshaws even though there is no traffic near and thiz Auto rickshaw guys ask us to much price, in the night 2kms they charge 400 Rupees, one of the auto driver said that they pay commission to the police in the evening everyday . Shame on the police commissioner and all the dept,
2. The Entire temple is filled with beggars, no control 🛂 they don't let us to mediate or chant god's name as constantly they will be begging.
3. The temple staff treats devotees as a piece of shit, they use adjustives while calling them, even physically challenged ppl are abused 😔 I saw it happening yesterday at 11:45am next to me, when I asked they fight with us, no respect only money.
4. The outside of the temple is very dirty with cool 🆒 drinks empty bottle and garbage..
5. The lodge charges as per their will 9k to 12k Rupees for 12 hours a 10x10 room without any fesilities and there is no governing body.
6. Main thing: While doing giriwalam you find a lot of nonveg stalls on the roads both muslims and hindus and those grilled flesh smokes hit 🎯 our face making discomfort and sad...
7. A lot of sadhu as they call themselves are in high influence of Alcohol 🍷 this needs to be stopped..
8. As with every other temple, here also money is first we don't care about u or ur feelings.. 😢
9. There are 4 helpline and none of them work, the complaint form has been planned disabled..
10. The temple phone number is always engaged ..why ??
So pls pray in ur local temple, where there is no respect, pls don't go and also two priests got suspended in March 10th 2023 as they were promoting mother Mary in Vibhuti packet of the temple.. how did that happen, they would have paid money to promote, why suspended, they should hv been terminated all are involved in the temple..

I would suggest staying near Ramanaasramam because there are many options at reasonable rates. One of them i would recommend is Ramana Towers where they have great stay options.
