I have always called them a fish mouth.
A birds mouth to me is a cut in a timber roof truss. Good video, the same cut can be done with a chop saw too. I used to do them with a worn flap wheel on a grinder.
Excelente
ОтветитьJust watched all your videos. Thanks for the really good work and fabulous video work to go along with it. I just subscribed and can’t wait for more. Thanks again.
ОтветитьI like the short videos, but you should make longer videos
Ответитьhey mate good vid but, try this. with saw at 90 deg put the pipe 13 mm past the blade, (use a back stop at the other end). lock the vice. swing the saw to 32 deg take 1 cut rotate 180 deg take another cut, done no grinding. also can do stair rails. i can send a vid on fb. cheers john
ОтветитьGreat content! and so underrated videos. Thumbs up every time
ОтветитьBest explain ever .. thanks
ОтветитьBest videos you welding work steel
ОтветитьSo how Much of the pipe do you cut off when it comes to the point do you cut it back 387 inch how do you figure that out because I would like to use this trick for when I’m trying to join pipe for my smokers. My company I work for has a pipe not sure but if I didn’t have that option I’d like to be able to do this
Ответитьnice, clean accurate - doing it with the bandsaw bit long - I usually cut all with the grinder by just guessing how much to cut off to form the bird mouth
ОтветитьYou can pick a professional tradesman, because the keep the guards on angle grinders. Nice job.
ОтветитьGenius and simple! Can you make a vid showing different angles other than 90 degrees?
Ответитьwho needs a tube notcher when you have an $8000 band saw for metal
ОтветитьTeach novices how to measure even that 45°dude
Ответитьcrude but effective. thanks for the vid
ОтветитьJai Mata Di
ОтветитьI think the tube notcher would be easier and quicker, but the ones i found online only had hole saw 1 1/2 deep and I’m notching 2 3/8 pipe so having to flip the pipe and align the hole saw to the other cut seems to defeat the purpose of purchasing it. Chop saw it is! Seems to be the same result as your band saw but much louder and sparkier
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if this is possible with a solid wood pole instead of a hollow pipe?
Ответитьhow to notch tubes without a tube notcher and instead with an $8000 band saw! 👍🏼
Ответитьvery quick and accurate enough! THANK YOU
Ответитьthe one side looked a mile out of a nice tight joint but hey what do i know could of done it with just a grinder
Ответить💥
ОтветитьVery ease an perfect 👏👏👏 congratulations
ОтветитьHe has a ban saw lucky
ОтветитьUse 33 degrees. Then you dont need to use grinder. And you dont need to cut off the nose
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьI really like how you describe your layout without actually talking, very informative. 🙄🙄🙄
ОтветитьIs there a way to do it for an angle?
Ответить✌🏾 👍🏾👍🏾 thank you!! 🙏🏿☝️✌🏾
ОтветитьNice work. What do you do if not coming in at 90. Say at a 60 or an oddball angle.
Ответить👊🏻🔨💯
ОтветитьHow come you dont talk?
ОтветитьThanks for nothing
ОтветитьYou don't talk much but I get it. Tx for sharing technique
ОтветитьI saw another video similar to this one except that the saw was set to 32 degrees.
ОтветитьThis is the best and easiest way to notch a tube.GREAT CLEVER IDEA.GREAT VIDEO.
ОтветитьOkay buddy ….. get a notcher!!!
ОтветитьYou could have walked to my house and used my Harbor freight pipe notcher and been home again faster!!!!
ОтветитьTubing notcher not needed, but a $3,000 band saw helps.
Just kidding..... Nice job
To cut that far back, then cutting the points off, you’re wasting time and materials. Too many steps. 1/3rd of the pipe diameter is all you need to cut back. Then grind insides. That’s it. Done. Don’t complicate things
ОтветитьBest tricks with out peper shabash
