They're brain isn't fully developed and they should not be allowed to make these kind of changes that will alter their future forever. I agree with you guys on this completely.

I took the puberty blocker in my twenties. No, I didn't want to be a transgender, but to treat my medical problems of endometriosis. It put my body into immediate menopause. My toothache, my bone/muscle sored, my skin was loosing elastic. I could push my skin and it would leave a dimple on my skin for a few minutes. Just the short term (about two years) of taken lupron left a long term effect on my body. Young children or Teenagers shouldn't be on that med at all

I think it's pretty simple... if a juvenile is considered smart/mature/wise enough to decide what sex they want to be, then they HAVE TO also be capable of deciding whether or not they want to smoke, drink alcohol, have sex, etc. Although each thing is different, the gravity of them as a whole is not. If a child can decide to have their breasts or genitalia surgically altered, then they darn well better be able to choose to have a cigarette or shot of whiskey afterwards. To not allow that would be ridiculous, right?

People, let's NOT blame or hate on the victims! Let's support them, and even just talking or being friends would help them!
No need to sl33p with them to support them and their mental health!

There are conditions where people want to cut off limbs. She referred to this phenomenon as a “psychiatric condition” and colloquially described it as "cookie”. So, somehow, wanting to cut off a limb to fit with their identity/sense of self is a psychiatric condition that needs therapy, but wanting to cut off breasts or penis and testicles is courageous and self-affirming. I see no justification for this difference. It seems profoundly irrational.

Another contradition is in female genital mutilation, seen in some other cultures and imported to the US. Somehow, in that cultural/religious context, it is illegal, while under the umbrella of gender activism, both female and male genital mutilation are (supposedly) courageous and wonderful.


APOTEMNOPHILIA is a term used to describe a psychological condition in which a person has a sexual attraction to the idea of being amputated or losing a body part. This condition is distinct from BODY INTEGRITY DYSMORPHIA (BID), which involves a GENUINE BELIEF that a body part doesn't belong to the person.
