Was it ever discussed around here that the Mayweather McGregor fight wasn't à real fight? I mean, it was so obvious. Mayweather is a master boxer, the top of the pile, whereas McGregor is a creative, capable, well rounded mma fighter. But this is boxing. Mayweather locked his capabilities at 50% throughout the fight, that would have lasted two rounds max had Mayweather unleashed. They must have had some kind of deal.

If you don't fight or at least train as a boxer, it's very unlikely you're going to beat one at boxing. Doesn't really matter how high level you are at your own game. Majority of pro boxers even if they don't have much pro experience have already had ridiculous amounts of amateur fights. Pauli would of probably beat Conor in a match if he'd have still been fully active during that time and he got whipped off Amir Khan! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hi Jo, love watching your clips/pod casts. With respect to Mayweather, boxing is also part of UFC just different rules.
What I’ve noticed is with boxers, they could train their entire life, even from the age of 5 years old, Have 100 amateur fights and not even touch a legit belt in boxing. But with MMA, UFC, you can train for 2 yrs out of college in your 20’s and become a champion. I believe a boxer requires all aspects of physicality, timing, stamina, strength, endurance, foot work, defence and agility, planning, strategy and using your brain. There can be 12 rounds, STANDING UP. Boxers punchers are much harder than MMA fighters and punching is more accurate than kicking, cause that’s what is focused on. Professional boxing is in the 300 million dollars win and in and MMA is only in the 100 thousand dollar wins for good reason. McGregor probably made more money fighting Mayweather than he did fighting his entire career. As Mayweather made 300 million plus, just from that one fight alone. Plus I find it more entertaining to watch. after watching the Mayweather and McGregory fight; it was said McGregor hit Mayweather 111 times, now correct me if I’m wrong but if Mike Tyson hit u 111 times , what would happen? Isn’t McGregor meant to be a hard hitter? Mayweather is smaller, shorter and 40. McGregor was 28, taller and bigger. Mayweather didn’t have a mark on his face, looked like he came out of a beauty salon, McGregor face was hammered. And after the technical KO where Mayweather could have knocked cold him out of the ring, he didn’t cause he didn’t want to ruin McGrgors career. Mayweather still looked like he could go another 12 rounds. They didn’t penalise McGreagor for the hammer, top head punches, he would oddly jump around the ring, not like a boxer. His punchers were very weak. Mayweather was unfazed by McGregor and very composed. I know people say get him in the octagon, and He will go down. Yea McGregor knows all other martial arts etc, but it only takes one punch. In boxing you need more stamina than MMA. also a fun fact, Mayweather won against another fighter who beat McGregor previously. Mayweather is also a billionaire who won 50 - 0 professional fights.

I wonder what would have. Happened if the referee didn’t stop your fight after the TKO? Fact: boxing is a much more dangerous sport than mma, as there’s repetitive punches to the head swelling brains, jaws hanging off the face plus multiple other injuries. I would rather have a knee to my face than have my head caved in were I’m either dead or brain damaged.
