I'm gonna get really personal here. I will TRY to be as brief as I can, but no promises lol

I was basically bedridden for about 5 years with near 24/7 chronic migraines that would make me pass out if I tried to walk, and my parents and I finally found a solution a while back. When this happened, I had to stop all attempts at education or having a job, because I just was not functioning as a human being. Needless to say, I had to get on social security, and when this was resolved and i was starting to reintegrate myself back into the world, I had resolved to actively avoid getting into a relationship with a significant other until I knew I wouldn't be a monetary burden on them. Some time later (I don't remember how long), I made a new friend. My parents are voice teachers and she was one of my mom's private students, so that's how I met her. I won't go into every little detail, but long story short, we had some mutual friends that realized that the two of us had feelings for eachother (I think before either of us realized it ourselves lol), and they played a bit of matchmaker, and got us very alone together. I realized that, in spite of where I was in life, I had to make a choice RIGHT THEN, or I might lose the opportunity to be with her. We started dating, and are still together after more than 4 years.

This song reminded me a LOT of my feelings during the early days of our relationship, and it made me smile ear to ear and cry a bit. Made my whole year. I know this song wasn't made for me, but I'm so grateful to Good Kid for making it. ❤

Edit: oh, ffs, we even got together in OCTOBER, what the heck!? 😂
