Stocking up on $1 Potatoes and Shopping the Sales at All the Stores This Week!

I can't wait to get sweet potatoes for $0.25/lb at Kroger this week!

Literally a decade ago, in the summer of 2014, i had just lost my job, we had JUST moved into our home the previous December, so i was looking for easy ways to save money - I hit CVS HAAAARRRDDDDDDDDDD...I mean, I hit it so hard (with only 3 accounts, too), that TO THIS DAY, 10 YEARS LATER, I still have stock that i'm using from back then. I still have body wash (men & women), deodorant ( M&W), shampoo (M&W), conditioner (M&W), men's body spray, tampons, tide pods, dish soap, toothbrushes, bar soap, Kleenex, mouthwash, Downy Unstoppables, handsoap, Febreze, and dish washer tabs...back in 2020 when everyone was throwing elbows for Lysol wipes, i already HAD like 80-100 canisters, I already HAD like 40-50 huge bottles of hand sanitizer...i quickly became the favorite parent at my kid's school. I was able to supply my child's ENTIRE PRE-SCHOOL with a 3 pack of Lysol wipes and a 32oz hand sanitizer (it was like 28 classrooms). and even now, 4 years after THAT, I still have plenty. I'm only now starting to get low on some men's products (only because my son is now old enough to use them lololol so now there's twice as many people using those products haha)

I’m mad at your $1.00 potatoes!😂Haha. Safeway is $2.49 so far… I’ve gotten them for as low as $0.47 some years during this time… maybe just before Thanksgiving they will lower the price? Here’s to hoping!😄👍🏽

I bought spiral sliced hams at 1.98/lb, 1.25 pint fresh blueberries and 2.98 limit 4 butter.
I don't remember all the prices but I did get a lot at Aldi including milk, breakfast sausage, fresh fruit, shredded cheddar at $3/lb. Anyway I spent about $250 but should be done for the month.

I went over a decade without CVS, too. 😂 I had to call and ask for help getting my card up and running again. Thanks for sharing your grocery finds!

Was able to go into my ALDIs. Online price of butter was $4.19, in store was $3.49!! Ridiculous as many senior citizens and busy families rely on online shopping. I did get cranberries too at $.99 each- so a good shopping trip.
Sadly ALDIs not the only store that charges higher prices online vs in store.

Iga has hams 88 cents a lb this weekend only. Turkey is 36 cents a lb as well. I'm going to stock up.

My score of the season, at Albertson's do a curbside pickup of $75 and get a free turkey. I spent $75.44 and they gave me a 20 pound turkey. There are only two of us so I will have meat for months and make so much stock.

Do you ever have a low spend month? My freezer is full and I have 2 frigerators with freezer and a chest and upright. There are 2 of us retired.

Aldi has corn and beans for .50 a can, celery for .95 a stalk, and spices $1.18. Helped us out. Found a lot of good deals there the last two weeks. Every little bit helps.

We live in Ky so no Meijhers near us until we have to go to Lexi from Ky 2 1/2 hours away then I hit a Meijhers…once a year, lol

Tart cherry juice is also excellent for someone who has gout - but it has to be the 100%, not the juice mixtures.

I actually like the Dollar Tree zip loc bags the best. Not that many in each box, but overall still cheaper.

Tart cherry juice is a blessing! My husband has gout and it really helps him when he is having a flair.

Butter is up because beef is up.

If you like turkey any other time in the year, take advantage of the Thanksgiving sale - they are never that low cost again (even at Christmas.)

I got a great deal in the current Ralph's sale (Los Angeles county) on TRESemme hair spray. Regular price 9.99 on digital for 5.99 and there was a coupon to download for 3.00 off 1 so thr price was 2.99 and it is our favorite brand 😊 I really stocked up on del monte corn and green beans. Always ❤seeing what you pick up each week 😊

It's a blessing to have a variety of stores to shop at. I do also. Ollies discount store just opened near me so I won't be driving 40 miles every few months for their deals. Those Meijer deals look great but not a store we have here. Thx for sharing 😊

I got celery at Aldi for $.95 yesterday

I drive 20-30 mins between 4-5 stores. I got butter for 2.99 and the chip sale at Kroger. I got most of my meat at Sam's and separated it. I just got a 2nd freezer on black friday sale, small upright. Not a good week, though, because I had a minor nose procedure for sinuses, and my dishwasher broke. I got $20 back on my Ibotta.

I bought 40 lbs of sweet potatoes for 25 cents a pound at Kroger. This is when I buy my sweet potatoes for the next several months I saved $47 on just the sweet potatoes alone.

Best price I've had on butter was 4.49 lb and much better than 5.99 for sure. I'll take any savings I can get.

Krogers spices are buy one get two free so I grabbed those along with Bobs red mill flour and fabric softener.

My local grocery store gave coupons out in the app for free turkey, green beans, sweet potatoes, potatoes, pie, whipped topping, stuffing, butter, corn, Hawaiian rolls, and ham. It was like a contest and my family was blessed to receive all the items
