I am selecting apple watch app. For track sleep
I am selecting between sleep cycle/pillow/auto sleep

Excellent analysis. I wonder if you are able to provide an update for this year as to whether the app made any improvements to its algorithm or it’s just the same. Hi Rob! Love your work, just watched 10+ videos in a row! Since this app is relatively good at estimating the sleep cycles, do you think it will also work on other (android) smartwatches? Since the sleep tests from other watches was poor, would it be the algorithm or the sensor(s) from these watches? I was going to buy the Samsung Galaxy watch 4, but your review made me hesitate.

Would be great to test the sleep tracking on Watch OS 9 … ! :)

I have sleep apnea. So my machine does some but I'm struggling w the right pressure. Also moisture builds up in there n makes it side off over my chin or I think that's what it is. I just got it back from a recall n really having a time.

I thinking now original app from apple is better. What you thing?

I could notice that in the second night, the REM and Deep Sleep could be almost exact if added an offset in the timeframe of sleep cycle, maybe it's some minutes off because you had to get the graphics through that tool, not raw data in itself

What do you think of AutoSleep? It records all this too. And it is more secure. Doesn’t have any analysis or tracking.

makes no sense for deep sleep to inversely correlate with sleep score, deep sleep is super important for recovery, so if you’re experiencing high strain you would naturally benefit from more deep sleep.

Wondering if the app used without a smart watch also yields accurate results (as you know current version requires phone microphone) Thank you

I was hoping to see if the total sleep time matches the eeg device. I have a Watch 10 who says I was asleep for almost 2hrs longer than the sleep cycle app. A comparison video would be great!
