I just received mine. You still see everything in your peripheral vision. All of that light still gets to your eyes because it's glasses, not goggles/headset. Full immersion is only doable with something that completely covers your eyes. I have to get used to it.

Is it good for severe poor eyesight?

I don’t think this guy has wore them enough to say they’re comfortable because they’re not. They are a bit tight on the sides and I don’t have a big head. The virtual displays are okay as they tend to shift positions when you turn to other displays instead of staying in one fixed position. These are pretty cool for entertainment tho, I enjoy watching movies here or just using them while I do my everyday stuff while I have a movie or show playing in one little corner of my vision. But most importantly they give me a lot of eye strain. My eyesight is not larger than -2 in either eye but I still can’t get it to not give me eye strain
