Hmm I just passed on a fourteener. Guess that was a mistake!
ОтветитьMatt are the Two Tin Cup offerings even enjoyable for experienced bourbon lovers?
ОтветитьLove the videos as always Matt! Is your garage climate controlled? Just curious if that affects the whiskey. Thanks again!
ОтветитьI love the Tin Cup 10 year. Don't see it around much.
ОтветитьAstrophysics.......? way above my pay grade :)
ОтветитьI’d include Michter’s American Whiskey, Rye and Sour Mash. I’d also throw Wyoming Small Batch on the list.
ОтветитьBenchmark Top Floor and VOB 86 are two cheap pours that never get old and never hurt the wallet.
ОтветитьGlad to see tin cup 14er getting some love. Great bottle for the price and age statement!
ОтветитьWild Turkey Longbranch is the ultimate gateway bourbon
Ответитьtried m10 Year Tin Cup Rye whiskey today
ОтветитьEarly Times BIB, EC small batch, Old Forester 100 and Redwood Empire Lost Monarch were my gateway whiskeys. And I still enjoy them.
ОтветитьIW Harper 15 year is awesome.
Also Dickel 15 year single barrels are commonly 80 proof and they are absolutely the best Dickel offering that doesn’t taste like a flintstone vitamin kicked you in the face.
Since you mentioned Evan Williams, I'll add that Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage is real solid sipper at 86.6 proof and I say that as someone who rarely sips under 90.
Ответить🐻 seat 😆
ОтветитьMatt, whats the diff in the two Evan Williams??
Ответить“So we can scratch our ass while we are riding.”
So funny! Still laughing. Love watching your videos!
“Are your French kissing me with a firework?”
OMG! Maybe I shouldn’t have drank this much on a Monday! 🤣🤣🤣
May be your most entertaining video yet.
I live in the Communist state of Virginia where all the ABC stores are owned by the state. The selection has recently started to improve. I watch a lot of bourbon videos. I am currently visiting my brother is South Carolina, after helping move my daughter back into school. South Carolina has a great variety of bourbon. I’ve been in a couple of stores, but being that I will most likely have to wait for five more years of out of state tuition to buy a decent bottle, I picked up the perfect low proof starter bottle for $14 today. It was the very last bottle. Even Kurt at SLB started with a peach flavored whiskey. Me, I picked up a Evan Williams Cherry. It’s sweet, makes a great cocktail, and the price can’t be beat.m
Couple I like - Old Forester 86 and Michters Sour Mash & American Whiskey
ОтветитьYou tell'em Tommy Boy!!!
Ответить"or you like it a lot" had me rolling. Rock solid list Matt.
ОтветитьGrandpa Bane
ОтветитьI'm glad I saw this. Before watching this I was in the mind set of anything under 90 proof is Bourbon water. I saw some Hancock in TW last week and past on it bcuz of the proof. I ll have a pour before I buy.
ОтветитьHancock is my favorite Mashbill 2 (other than Blantons SFTB). Its so crushably good.
ОтветитьAwesome choices, I’ll agree with the commenter who also recommended Evan Williams Single Barrel
ОтветитьRR10 is my go to for 90 proof. I can usually get it for $33, and it’s readily available.
ОтветитьThe one I would add to this list is the Evan Williams single barrel that just came back into the stores. Those are wonderful for 86 proof.
ОтветитьEvan Williams single barrel vintage is an absolute must. For $30 it's almost impossible to beat. Those marshmallow notes are so good.
ОтветитьHint hint, don’t get the white label
ОтветитьTin Cup 10 and Michters American Whiskey are the only staples on my bar under 90 proof.
ОтветитьHerby Hancock’s…..too funny! Love that!
ОтветитьHave you tried the new green river 1885 at 85 proof? I'm a big fan just cracked it a few days ago
ОтветитьEvan William single barrel is great for the price and age at 86 proof
ОтветитьLOVE YOU!
ОтветитьEvan Williams has the Single Barrel Vintage as well. 86.6 proof, 30-40$, delicious
ОтветитьJust noticed the bowling light and bowling balls! Black widow is a great ball. Hammer makes some good stuff. What’s your average?
ОтветитьGot it. Needed to fit the sponsor in so let’s make another video of low budget garbage 🫡
ОтветитьWhere's the OF86?
ОтветитьMy go-to under 90 proof American whiskeys/bourbons both to drink and introduce others to the spirit are Michter's sour mash, EW single barrel, Old Forester 86
ОтветитьI think woodford double oak should have been included, a great pour under 90 proof
ОтветитьI love these picks. I really love Tin Cup. Now I gotta try JW Harper! Thanks man!
ОтветитьTime to do an "Indiana sourced bourbon" blind. It will be fun to see who's aging process and blending pleases your palate.
ОтветитьPicked up a bottle of the IWH15 for $80 after watching this and holy effin shartballs. Wow. A true flavor bomb for its proof. My cabinet is 75ish% barrel proof expressions, but this makes for a fantastic starting pour before climbing the proof ladder, or a pour-to-impress for someone who prefers lower proof bourbons - and that’s without taking the age statement into consideration. I would choose this over standard Blanton’s given the option.
ОтветитьThere’s also Buffalo Trace 80 proof (available in UK) and Evan Williams Single Barrel 86.6 proof
ОтветитьThank you very much for the info. I have never tried Tin Cup but I will now. At the present moment I love old forester 86 and TX Whiskey as my go to whiskeys under 90 proof. If you have tried either of them I would love to know your thoughts. Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьEvan Williams single barrel and Old Forester 86 👍
ОтветитьWill you get better with those veneers as time goes on?
Ответитьold forester 1910 got me in!
ОтветитьExcellent Matt, thank you! Don’t exercise your brain too much, you might rupture a brain tendon😂
