I think the little table ( that might have been taller) with side bar is what they used as a wash area...towel on side bar, soaps in draw, and Victorian pitcher & bowl on top to wash in oneself.

Figures....all the items that I loved are SOLD! All us 70's collector's have the same taste, I think! And that porcelain Dachshund. OMG,,,,I collect them and I don't have that one!!!! : (((((((((((((((((((((
