Perfect demonstration
ОтветитьSo I used this video and the one about changing the overflow tank and it was really easy and you explained it so well, thank you for posting your videos man. You're awesome
ОтветитьWhy is the coolant pink
Ответитьhello i have no heat untill temperature achieve 90 DEGREE CNTIGRADE also ther is no flow of liquid before the temerature is high and offenly overheated
ОтветитьWhat should I do on 2015 cruze? My coolant reservoir was very low so I topped up the coolant reservoir without opening the bleeder screw. I put the cap on and after a few miles of driving my car is overheating and I have the coolant bubbling in the reservoir. The temp gauge goes about 1/4 of the way cold. Do I have air in my system? Should I squeeze the hoses? Should I try to open the bleeder or should I park on a hill and open the reservoir tank and run the car? The coolant is to the full line so I can’t add anymore. I took it to a mechanic and he said he ran 2 diags on it so head gasket and stuff should be ok. And if I drive it a few miles and it over heats and coolant bubbles.
ОтветитьFull speed?? what’s that?? 120mph??? 😂
ОтветитьExplained very well .
ОтветитьI didn't leave the cap off after filling with coolant so should I let the car run with the cap off for 15 minutes the next morning?
ОтветитьWhat will happen if you put water into coolant?
ОтветитьThanks for this video dude. My 2013 cruze is having issues overheating and I think has a leak somewhere (saw coolant on the ground). I’ll definitely need to address the underlying leak, but this video was so helpful in the meantime for topping it off. Thanks again!
ОтветитьGreat video but what about the heater you never checked that ?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьCouldnt hear anything 😂😂😂
ОтветитьMy chevy cruze 2013 had green cooling water and i mixed orange cooling water 50/50 is that normal? Also i did exactly what you did but when i turn off the engine i hear bubbles
ОтветитьAfter draining system using coolant drain valve but refilling using your advice, coolant is leaking from the "tube/ tube connection" next to the coolant drain valve. Any idea why?! Also you have great informative and easy to follow videos! Great work my man
ОтветитьHey Mike. 2013 Chevy Cruze owner here and dealing with coolant issues, as usual.
One question for you - what does it mean if my temperature gauge goes down to the usual middle point when the car is running but as soon as I turn my heater on inside my car while I'm driving, the temperature gauge starts going back upwards towards cold? No messages popping up on the dash and no check engine light.
Thanks
ОтветитьI wish I had seen a video like yours back around 2017 when I changed the coolant on our 2012 Cruze. I followed all the steps shown in another video back then and I’m pretty sure I didn’t do one or more steps that you showed because about 4 months later the water pump started leaking. It cost me about $700 to have that fixed at a shop. On any car, checking your fluids regularly is critical . Even on a new car, have a look around every couple of weeks, check the oil level, brake fluid, coolant and if you have a Cruze, Sonic, Trax or Buick Encore, watch your video where you point out all the places to look for coolant leaks. The coolant reservoir where the two hoses come out, the plastic fitting on the drivers side of the engine, the thermostat and any of the hoses are places to keep an eye on. Someone, it may have been you suggested using the Doorman version of that plastic fitting on the drivers side of the engine because it has been designed to be “ tougher”. This isn’t always the case with Doorman parts but apparently in this part it is built better as well as that metal line that runs behind the exhaust manifold and feeds oil to the turbo. The Doorman one has two rubber O-rings on one end where leaks are common. I was told that the coolant bleeder screw that you showed in this video doesn’t have to be completely removed and mine “ bled” with the screw still being in a couple turns. Also, there is a drain peacock on the bottom of the radiator on the earlier Cruzes and other 1.4 turbo vehicles but for some reason GM stopped putting those on them several years later. P.s. my 20 yr old son drives our 2019 Buick Encore and I have told him to watch the temp gauge as well as to check the oil level regularly because of the PCV issues. GM really should have fixed the problems with the PCV, intake, and coolant issues by the time our 2019 Encore was built and there should be an extended warranty coverage on these parts and repair.
ОтветитьWhile doing the bleeding process, you do not want the coolant to get to close to the bottom coolant line in the tank because it will suck in air. Keep an eye on it and add to it as needed. The best practice is to fill it to where it's just a little under the fill line.
ОтветитьDon’t open the coolant cap when pressurized ;) but definitely don’t open the oil cap
Ответить1.8 Chevy Cruze 2012 bought used, no Manuel. I'm trying that today, resivour low. Buy dex cool 50/50..Wish u had link
ОтветитьHello, do you think is the same process for a 2020 Malibu LT? Thanks
ОтветитьThanks so much for all the great info! I had no idea about any of this!
ОтветитьWhy turn on the heater for ? I’m confused
ОтветитьIs it necessary to open the coolant again after the drive?
Ответитьdo i put the resivor cap on after the car runs at op temp and air is bleed out but before the fan kicks on?? w lid of the therm opens about 214° then coolant bubbles out of the resivor. at this point i dont know if the radiator is too full?
please help trying to get my daughters 1st car running and safe
Why i don't have coolant temperature in my 2013 chevy cruze ltz 1.4
ОтветитьThanks ❤
ОтветитьI just did this but it looks like my coolant leven started to rise a bit? Did I do something wrong?
Ответить@DIYwithMichaelBorders after Hi! I followed your instructions step by step and after 10 min of letting the engine run and leaving the coolant reservoir cap off, the coolant started to rise and it started sputtering some coolant. Could you tell me if it sounds like theres something else going on with my car?
ОтветитьCan I use Preston if it says it’s universal?
ОтветитьDo you have a link for the coolant reservoir?
ОтветитьHow much coolant does it take to fill all the way?
ОтветитьHopefully ,replaced my old one n topped up
ОтветитьI'll check temperature tomorrow, cheers
ОтветитьWhat happens if you don’t remove the bleeder valve
ОтветитьWhat goes in the smaller car container next time it?
ОтветитьWhere are the frost plugs on my Chevy cruise 2013 1.4?
ОтветитьBruh how do I get the valve off
ОтветитьHi, Great video! I do have a question. Do I follow this process when adding coolant or only if I drain it out completely? I hope that's not a dumb question, just don't want to do it wrong. Thanks!
ОтветитьIf I filled an empty reservoir without taking the screw out, is that bad and if so what should I do to fix it?
ОтветитьWish you all the best my friend
Lots of respect from Pakistan 🎉❤
Thanks I was confused use to old schools like where’s the radiator cap located 🤦🏽♂️😂😂
ОтветитьGreat detailed information, my hot engine light was on last night so i am adding antifreeze now, i have to find that valve to see if i have a leak, or i might just do it and look for leaks in the hoses without opening the valve thank you
Ответить2013 malibu lt doesnt have a bleeder screw on the radiator
ОтветитьCan i do all these sames steps you talked about verbatim with only water? Because i just bought coolant and it just leaked all out so i am gonna put water in until i can go get another bottle of coolant. I plan to het the good one the red one this time not the yellow cheap one but my coolant has been leaking out wo much i dont wana waste expensive product jntil i figure out what is going on.
Two more questions, does the Bars stop leak/radiator sealant do more harm than good? I feel like after I added it all the sudden my car started overheating more frequently compared to before i poured it in.
2nd question can your hoses or radiator be clogged? How can u tell? WhhOne hose feels hot full swollen and the liquid inside doesnt seem to have anyhwere to go. (This is the thick upper or lower? Not sure.. radiator hose coming from the drivers side going into radiator
Just wondering why you ended up removing all the seal on the jug of antifreeze, And a little insight: sounds like you should check the oil
ОтветитьSanks
ОтветитьLeave the condensate tank open for 15 minutes until the fan works? Will the water not burst out?
Ответить
