I was getting much better shots when I was just doing it in my backyard and stuff, I think ill start off with just around my neighborhood (rn im thinking about this house that used to have its mailbox painted like it was covered in blood but is no longer there an I am weeping at the lost prospects of getting to shoot that thing)
ОтветитьSo very true! It took me ages to build up the confidence in street photography (and by all means - I’m still learning to do it), and develop an eye for catching the moment. What I think the internet really messed up with our mind is “it has to be technically perfect” so a lot of photographers panic on the street over the small things, so I just went with the old style “f8 and be there”, and for a couple of years I would not have touched setting too much.
And yes, the beginning was basically imitating styles of photographers I liked to develop the street photography eye haha
Love this title thumbnail combo. Earned my click for sure
ОтветитьIn my experience, street photographers are not lucky, but they spend a lot of time doing it. Comment before viewing
ОтветитьAmazing video, great timing too as I’ve just arrived in Asia to do street photography for two months - can’t wait to put these and your other tips to the test! Thanks so much Hunter
ОтветитьHCB took on average 10-15 rolls per day.
So first steal a few leicas, sell them at premium prices so you can afford to do what he did, which was send them all to a lab so he could concentrate on walking and shooting and not spend half the day in the darkroom…
I love Mr Spoonmans videos. Great content bloke.
ОтветитьAnd remember. Photography takes time, as any other form of art. Every photographer needs a lot of months to get a good photo and years to get a great one.
And as he said, other photographers only show the good and the great work they do.
For every roll I shoot, I get around 20-25 photos that I like and that I consider good/not bad. But only one or two portfolio shots. And it takes me a month to finish a roll.
So, relax and trust the process, it's a very long way. It's a way of learning and enjoying, that's the most important thing
Just found your channel and this should help allot thank you
ОтветитьStreet photography luck build: invest 70% of points into luck and the rest in charisma and stealth (depends on your approach to street encounters).
ОтветитьI'm really loving your videos, they are very helpful and mostly they are very enjoyable to just watch
Ответитьcurrently in London right now, time to camp that route and hopefully bump into Hunter!
