My mom is shia, my dad is sunni

hey i really like all your videos, i want your help and I want to ask you this question? what do you think about sinni and shia Islam, I mean after you have studied and learnt so many books about Islam, what does your knowledge tells you, what does your heart tell you which Islam is more in line with the right teachings of Prophet Mohammad PBUH?
my thoughts are these, after 1500 years we can tell you anything and everything about the life of Prophet Mohamamd PBUH, we can tell you in the exact date and time what were Prophet Mohammad PBUH was doing, we can even tell you what was his facial expressions and even what he think and what was held in his hear. Basically Prophet Mohammad PBUH is our Imam and his life was set an example for all humanity so his life was not secretly hidden, infact his life and all events in his life was revealed and written and told by millions. so keeping this in perspective why did Allah chose to hide the upcoming Imam's as claimed by the shia's. I think this is wrong and double standards in Islam, when we had our real Imam Mohmmad PBUH he was not hiding and the imams after him like Imam Ali and Imam Hassan And Imam Hissain A.S. their lives are not hidden from us the why after few more Imam the game changes to hidden Imams.
I think Shia's are considering Imam is actually a friend of Allah also Known as Wali-ullah. and in any given time there can be millions if not thousands of Awliya-ullah. so Allah uplifts some curtains of reality from their eyes and they can see the world in the way Allah Has created and so they cannot be tricked or mislead by saiten or devil. the been said now anyone can be a friend of Allah by completely cutting all interest and love from this world and fills one heart with only love of Allah. so right now there can be 2-8% of the total populations of the world can be WAli-ullah's.

i think Shia's Islam is mam made and has many doubts? in fact in the history of Islam the events of Karbala is like the darkest and harshest points, and shia's are using that event to represent Islam to the rest of the world and anyone with little common sense if they are told that Muslims killed the grandsons of the Last Prophet Mohammad PBUH for a political gains and worldly power, will easily recognise that this is not the Islam I want to follow.
also thinking that Mohammad PBUH was not the last Imam for the world is a shirk, if shia's are thinking that there is an imam and allah is sending him wahi,knowledge or any connection to interpret Quran to the people is a sjirk, lets face it Quran was revealed to Mohammad PBUH so no one can interpret Quran better that him. and in his life time Mohammad PBUH has successfully forwarded the message of Islam to the people and ISlam was completed, there is a clear verse in Quran where Allah says This day, I have completed your religion for you, perfected My blessings upon you, and am pleased with Islaam as your Religion.» [5:3]

so in the above verse Allah Has told us that the religion is completed and so there is no use for Mohammad pBUH to stay on earth and no other imam to add anything else in Islam, hense shia's are been scammed.

this was my thought but I would like to have a reply from you that after reading Islam and so many books what is you knowledge telling you, surely Islam is not hidden from any intelligent person

Ideal worshipping this what Islam is all about . I am a former Muslim and find stupid that Allah has a house in Saudi Arabia.

Appreciate your efforts however, I wonder why many known facts books are not used to prove what is said. I know that the coverage of 12 aimma Shia Islam had many wrong things. Prophet said in many occasions that he is the city of knowledge and ali is its gate. He also reminded people through his life while teaching that ali and other 11 aimma are chosen by god to protect the teachings. While 12 imams all wrote about unity peace and harmony there are things that are facts and must know . First, to associate this with iran and politics instead of showing the real argument that prophet was ordered to name the 12 successors after him with the last 12 will be the awaited imam who’ll will be expected alongside of prophet Jesus and others.

Second major argument is that this has nothing to do with family but it is a planned succession chosen by the creator since Abraham and was mentioned in bible ( 12 princes)
Last, suni books and ulama could never exist without Shia 11 imams as they were the ones who thought them and answered the need of the population even though they were denied the leadership they still help the highest position when it comes to jurisprudence theology … Sufism started with Ali, and four major suni schools started after 6 imam as they were students but most suni ulama like today they work for government and believe in changing rules according of the need of political governance while Shia scholars are the most independent and free scholars from any politics influence.
In the case of iran, the Shia inspired the movement of democracy that used to exist before the shah.
Iran might have issues like all countries have but we can’t related any of these issues to Shia 12 Islam. I. Fact if there is anything good in Islam in general is because of the Shia Imams who are the fathers of the knowledge and teachers of all other sects.

Mashallah excellent presentation. However if you look at the mainstream Judaism it's Rabbanic which means only the learned Rabbis lead the common Jews, similarly the Catholics follow. But however Islam is basically a relation between man and God, if you look at the time of Muhammad sawslm there were thousands and lakhs of Sahabah who were all excellent Muslims, and since Allah subhanahuwata'ala is just and hakeem and Raheem he would not package it exclusively with a handful of people and make Islam a secret or a complex code, this beats the whole purpose of Allah (Swt) sending Muhammad sawslm as Rahmat ul Alameen, for all people of the world. It's not a personal property of anybody..

As for Ishmael i have heard you. Behold I have blessed him. And i will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly, he shall have twelve princes and from that i will make him a great nation

This verse referring to the final prophet and his kingdom ,it mention twelve princes , twelve grandsons of prophet Muhammad PBUH whom Shias believe to be the humanity's guide on earth after prophet Muhammad.

Great video just wanted to give a point of clarification. Reasoning was and is never banned in Shia Islam. The presenter seems to be implying that when the Imam went into occultation people had to come up with solutions. This is not the case; the Imams (pbut) had many students under their belts and even sent their representatives to engage in dialogue and debate with other ideologies. The imam’s fostered reason and intellect - reason is only “forbidden” when Allah or his representatives make a decision on a matter. This is evident in Quran 33:36 - It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter.1 Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray. You might claim this verse only refers to Allah and the messenger but remember in Shia theology, obedience to Imams is equated to Allah and the Messenger (Quran 4:59).

Most of us shias dont even know about our actual history. You did a fantastic job, i and my friends will try to study more about our sect. We usually just do matam(beat ourselves) and rally in the month of muharram. I think all shia clerics should learn from you. All i have always learnt is hatred against the sahaba which led me to stop following religion altogether....

Being grown up in a Shia family but since many years ago stopped practicing Islam, I would like to point out out the following points:

1. As you explained well, one major difference is that Shia rely more on Aql (reasoning) while Sunni's rely on Sunna (Morale guides narrated by Sahaba (followers of Mohammad who had personal interaction with him)). Some argue this difference is a major reason why almost all extremist Muslims are Sunnis. Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and Taliban are all Sunni groups and you may not find a case in which a Shia Muslim would have committed suicide attack because when you rely on reasoning over Sunna, than you find it hardly rationale to kill yourself. Although this should be noted that this is note based on a scholarly research to draw a causal references. It is just an speculative observation. Also, Shias are more open and liberal communities allowing their women to educated and work freely while Sunnis are not comfortable with that. In fact, one reasons hardline Sunnis dislike Shia is their relatively open culture which in Sunni's believe damages Islam's reputation. Also, you may find many Shia Muslims who have left Islam and turned into atheists or antagonists but you will barely find a Sunni Muslim to leave Islam.

2. In your video, Shia community is kind of summarized to current Iran. While Shia has always been a minority and is still in the Muslim world, they are spread in various regions. Large populations of Shia live in Afghanistan, around 10 million, in India, Pakistan has a very large Shia population, Yemen, Lebanon, in Iraq the majority is Shia and in many Central Asian countries.

Hajj Hassanain Rajabali has amazing lectures which i believe truly represents what a true shia is and the shia belief!
