a really good part of this scene is when you really look at vito and joes face you see in their faces theyre in a really bad spot and feel bad they have to kill tommy but know they HAVE to. i wonder how itd be if they worked with tommy
Ответитьme: thinking we beating an old uncle in mafia 2. I didn't even knew it was tommy
ОтветитьNotice, that when Joe and Vito appear on the screen the theme from mafia 2 starts to play.
ОтветитьKinda funny when you realize, just few weeks ago, Vito was living in Tommy's neighborhood.
It must have been really weird for Tommy to see his neighbor house burned down and then few days later coming to kill him.
What is the music in the end?
ОтветитьThis is more sad than the original. Once Vito said Tommy's real name Tommy knew and was ready for his fate. I also like that little detail of when Tommy drop the water hose, wasn't even surprised and accepted his fate. Tommy could have lied but he didn't by him accepting his fate he knew his family will forever be safe no more hiding and no more running.
ОтветитьMafia fans: Reeeeeee!!!! Henry is a rat
Also Mafia fans: I like Tommy Angelo
I didn't finish the original mafia 1 it sucked. Because tommy ran weird. It looked like he was having back pain.
ОтветитьVito fucking handsome
ОтветитьBest video game crossover
ОтветитьWhen Vito & Joe coming (With the Mafia 2 Theme) ... Tommy knows and accept his fate like a man ... I really love this ending :)
ОтветитьDamn. I remember Vito killing Tommy in Mafia 2 (my first Mafia game), but after going through Tommy’s story in the remake, I was nearly crying in tears when I saw this. R.I.P Tommy.
ОтветитьVito: mr Angelo?
Tommy: Who? I’m sorry Wrong person
Vito: Understandable have a nice day
Vito: Mr. Angelo?
Tommy: Yes.
Vito: Mr. Salieri sends his fresh bucatini.
vito's jawline lookin extra t h i c c
ОтветитьI prefer the dialogue and music from the original, but this is cool
ОтветитьCamping 2 Roblox:
Me: Mr. Daniel?
Daniel: Ah... Yes
Me: Zach Nolan Sends His Regards
Tommy was the best Mafia protagonist😢 I don’t feel sorry for Vito getting killed by Lincoln in Mafia 3 now😂
ОтветитьIf it wasn't for this remastered version of the game I would have never known that in the actual game in 2002 the 2 guys who kill Tommy were Vito and Joe. I never thought about the mission much in the 2nd game as I didn't know who Tommy was. But seeing this now it's really sad knowing that Vito and Joe were forced to do something I didn't want to happen because of the shit situation they got in, in the 2nd game (chinatown). Damn....
ОтветитьAfter they said his real last name Tommy knew his time was up he accepted his fate
ОтветитьThis dude gives a 15 second warning, but spoils the ending in the thumbnail and title. What a joke.
ОтветитьVito is by far my favorite mafia character I loved when I saw him at the end
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьThe only issue I have is Vito and Joe kinda look out of place. Everyone else looks in place with the remake yet their models are from 2010. Why not just an updated texture to them?
Still I found this ending to be the most cinematic, and the best part of it is how he accepts his fate. He's not taken off guard, he knows what's coming and takes it.
I am completely bro thanks
ОтветитьTommy was dead happy
ОтветитьI wish Mafia 2s definitive edition looked like 1
ОтветитьDamn that Mafia 2 theme song
ОтветитьIt looks like I found an equivelant to this scene, that one was in House of Gucci, where a hired killer comes to Maricio and says "Señor Maricio", draws the pistol, and gave "Patricia send her regards" move but he didn't say that line
ОтветитьMy absolute favorite thing about this scene is the music transition. For the whole of Tommy’s speech, it’s been his theme. The music we have grown to associate with Tommy in his moments of triumph. The fact that it’s been uplifted, made happy, almost a fairytale theme really sells us on the fact that Timmy’s done it. He’s survived. He’s got a loving family, a good home. He’s safe from Saliari.
But then that flashy red car pulls up to his house. The occupants get out. The music fades, it ends. Tommy’s theme goes away, he won’t be needing it anymore. A new piece comes in, harsh tones that signify someone scrappy, someone violent, has come to do some violent work.
It’s Vito’s theme from Mafia II, smack dab in the middle when it’s at its ramping up from the soft tones it has at the beginning, much like where Vito is at in his life at this moment.
Tommy Angelo doesn’t know these men, but we the players do. But that doesn’t matter. We understand what’s happening, right alongside Tommy. His time has come, his theme is silent. For us, it’s a “passing the torch” moment. But that’s too pleasant a way of putting it. Joe blasts Tommy directly in the chest with his shotgun, and Vito rips the torch of “main character” that Tommy was carrying and violently adds it to his own.
And then the music gets real quiet, real somber. The dying beats of Tommy’s heart as his family surrounds him.
It cuts out, allows Tommy his final words
“Family is forever”
Capped with those sinister tones of finality, the double meaning of that phrase made clear with lethal efficiency.
I love it so much!
Tommy was ready to go. He wasn’t afraid.
Ответитьthanks 2k and hangar 13 for this wonderful remake
the graphics were stunning but fortunately thats not the only good part of the game
the details were awesome
the soundtracks the weapons combat, the ambiance, the acting
it really felt like a movie
it was simple, good, logic
no one chapter was really bad
the ending is 10x better in this remake
WHOA WHOA WHOA! A lot more to unpack here! As someone who has played the Mafia games since the very original this ending I find more satisfying. In the original Tommy claims he never sees the wife and kid since he blew the whistle. He was living alone since and died alone. This one he was expectant of his past to catch up with him and was relieved to die surrounded by the people that truly loved him which are his own wife and kids. I prefer this version of the ending as well. The ominous music is a nice touch. All it's missing are the sounds of sirens wailing in the distance for the same reason they were still under watch by the feds who were immediately in pursuit of Vito and Joe once they did their job.
ОтветитьLove the change of Tommy’s way of saying “yes” in the original mafia and mafia ii he just sounds confused that someone called him by his real name,I love that he knew what Vito and Joe had come to do
ОтветитьFamily is Forever"
That quote cuts both ways and the ending makes it very vague what it really meant.
Family could mean blood-ties as well as the Mafia.
Given how dark that song goes as Tommy says it, I prefer interpreting Family as the Mafia more from a narrative standpoint. Because in the end, Tommy never escaped it.
Vito: "Mr. Angelo?"
Tommy: "No."
Vito: "Sorry, wrong house."
(Vito and Joe drives to the next house and kills a random guy who also happens to be named Tommy Angelo)
Tommy: "Meh, I never liked that guy anyways."
I was sad Vito had to “hit” my character. Haha 😂😢
ОтветитьWhat makes this scene so impactful is it shows what the mob is like in a nutshell. In Vito and Joe’s case, they have no idea who Tommy is or what he’s done (we all know what he’s done) but ultimately to these two it’s like who cares. All they know is a friend of the family wants him dead. And imagine if the storylines were different for Joe and Vito and even Lincoln.
One day they could watering they’re lawn. All of a sudden, Mr. Scaletta/Clay. Mr. #### sends his regards.
Just like that another mobster gone. In other words, another day at the office. But that’s the mafia life.
when playing mafia 2 and then mafia 1 DE, then ending hits way harder
ОтветитьA lot of people say that the remake has a much better ending because Tommy was ready to face his death head-on and wasn't surprised. But you gotta remember, Tommy was a cab driver, a humble mild-mannered man who was drawn into the Salieri family and was basically in over his head. He let Michelle live because he didn't want kill her in cold blood. The remake adds hdr being Sam's love interest and Sam persuading Tommy to spare her.
The original always felt like you were a normal guy who just broke-bad. The remake Tommy becomes a hardened criminal too quickly. Doing bridge ramp jumps in first mission.
Vito had the perfect feel of a normal guy, toughed up by his time in the army - and working with his best friend to have all the things in life his father could never get.
so ending is retconned to match Mafia 2 second last mission (and this one is that Joe and Vito had a rought escape, the original Mafia 1 ending ended with a scene where Vito and Joe smoothly departs on that car, since in Mafia 2 there's escapade segue that player must lose a hot pursuit and in the end splitted up, and the two were eventually reunited... tortured by Vinci Family)
ОтветитьThe thumbnail gave away spoilers.
ОтветитьIn mafia 4 Tommy's daughter gets revenge on Vito by killing him with a golf club 🏌🏻♀️
ОтветитьI love when you're playing Mafia 2 and you're driving to this scene and Vito says "Guys got it coming then"
ОтветитьHoly fucking shit…. I never noticed that. How the fuck. That’s so fucking brilliant.
ОтветитьAnd that's the closest we will ever get to seeing Vito and Joe in a remake model version because they have no plans to remake Mafia 2
Ответить
