I agree with some of this but disagree with other parts of it. If you're going to hire an executive assistant for example you can't hire someone slow paced if your very fast with your things. It will just not work, but I do agree that this person needs to do the things we're not good at.

I felt it over years on my business, finally I understood I am the administration guy and I needed sales driven people.
Sales department is the most important.
I think first we evolve then we administrate the new chaos from growth, not the inverse.

ОтветитьIndeed, a good example of "opposing strength" relationship is the case of apple. Steve Jobs didn't have enough knowledge of engineering but he was good at marketing, public relations, and selling. On the flip side, Wozniak was a gifted engineer with a lot of experience in Electronics.

ОтветитьThis is awesome! One piece of advice I would add is the incredible importance of having having written copy for your processes. To new business owners, your company is what you write. When it comes time to onboard staff you will have the tasks you want to delegate on hand, in writing and ready to go for your job description!

I’m thinking of hiring an normal employee and team leader/ supervisor who can still do the work like the normal worker, but can keep an eye on current & future staff, manage them, and train them. Supposed to hiring two employees where nobody really takes true ownership. Am I thinking about this the right way? Thanks
