Honestly, the practical effect looks better than cgi….
ОтветитьSuper fun. One thing I would recommend is in the shot where the falcon is coming towards camera, you should slide the stars south to north. This will make it feel more like the OT shots you are emulating.
ОтветитьGreat job!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьSimple? easy?? What my aging brain heard was "Start with the whilly woo habe scabe, scale down to the magic button light and stars background, slide the value for X over Y, subset Z while singing the National Anthem in uniform while drinking a Fresca"... End result, cool Millennium Falcon fly-by!
ОтветитьI feel like I just watched a full length advertisement.
Ответитьit's like a 15 min commercial.
ОтветитьIn between shots, I'm going to eat a Wendy's chicken sandwich... coupon code in the description below.
ОтветитьPretty obvious really . . .
ОтветитьI've been watching you since your movie reviews WAY back. Keep up the amazing work man!
ОтветитьThat was better than anything from Star Wars in the last 10 years.
ОтветитьAs good as this looks what they were able to accomplish with less sophisticated tech 50 years ago looks far better..
ОтветитьIn episode 4 (A New Hope) I think they created the Falcon's jump to light speed as they escaped the Star Destroyer's by having a polaroid of it from behind then filming the photo being moved very quickly away from the camera. A very simple idea of conveying the jump but it worked.
Ответить~reads title~
Umm..
Also gotta make it a little dirty - Han kept it dirty on purpose.
ОтветитьI really love shots / content created practically with little CGI instead of full cgi or God forbid full AI. I appreciate more the fun and passion of the Artists creating things like this rather than anything else.
ОтветитьThis validated me never being a digital effects artist. Jeeeezus. Thats some crazy stuff🤘
ОтветитьThousands of dollars worth of cameras, software and shit.. but no money for a model?
ОтветитьWay too many steps, it gave me a headache.
ОтветитьI rather have a good story with old real practical effects that does not look super realalistic than super real looking but bad sfx. hashtag more blood squib in movies.
ОтветитьFYI, in resolve, you would click on the color tab, add a serial node after your primary grade and press the millennium falcon button. It’s free you know, resolve. Maybe the falcon button is only in the paid version… I’ll get back to you on that.
ОтветитьWarum?
Ответить"just add this, tweak this, add this saturation, dis-color, remove the green-screen around the ship, rotate the image, add subtle shading, etc.."...oh- that's "all" you had to do?...(i watched this for 2 minutes, and then my head exploded)...
ОтветитьHonestly that miniature did it, Im sure a bigger one would of looked better on big screen, but on a laptop that was glorious.
Ответить3 months of After effect course in 6.5 minutes... wow... my brain hurts.....
ОтветитьHow is the model maker such a pro that they left the exhaust stains on the back of the ship looking so obviously wrong.
ОтветитьI dunno, y'all, it looks pretty convincing to me
ОтветитьApply tech to real life. (Like baseball catchers square). So many needed applications
ОтветитьUse pop corn to make storm troopers.
ОтветитьAdd some Terminator ideas /plot to a Space movie.
Ответитьepic
ОтветитьSpeechless.. Result is so so so good.
Ответитьtoo many planets
ОтветитьNow do it again with the Lego model!
ОтветитьNASA should hire them.
ОтветитьAnd with AI you do it with $0 in 30 seconds 😂😂😂
ОтветитьLooks fantastic.
ОтветитьYour level of chops using AE is absolutely 🤯 Great presentation.
ОтветитьI really wish the film community would go back to fully in camera models when possible.
Ответитьthe only thing is the stars shouldnt scale up
ОтветитьDid you use the Canon EOS R5 to shoot the miniature? Great job!
ОтветитьI miss the days when creators left project files in the description to follow along
ОтветитьCan I please get know that camera
ОтветитьAmazing! I've been watching you guys since the beginning in 2009! Incredible memories with those Revision3 days. I was a Senior in High School and dreaming of being a cinematographer. I was taking filmmaking, photography, and film appreciation classes at school and then coming home and watching films and you guys (also a lot of CO-OP). Thanks for continuing to be so awesome! - Mr. TSWN
ОтветитьLove your channel! superb content!!
ОтветитьFantastic! Thank you so very much for sharing this.
Ответитьwould love to see this with a higher quality model just to see how good it can look, because this already looks amazing.
ОтветитьLoved it! Thanks.
ОтветитьSays: "Those original ideas they employed in the 70"
Shows: Those VFX shots Lucas badly updated in the 00s.
You made it look so good! It was a pleasure working with you fine humans again.=D
