Why not consider TSMC? Incredible MOAT, good earnings growth ahead and very good valuation at around 18-19 Forward PE.

Many people are looking for additional income as a result of the shifting economy, and I'm thinking about investing in the stock market to accomplish my $3 million retirement target. But the recent market meltdown is worrisome.

Pat Gelsinger is the one who can save intel, they are stupid to kick him out, now intel is doom.

I’ve been DCA since 2022 into INTC. I believed in Pat and the long term goals. I was expecting a bumpy ride and willing to wait and be patient. With Pat being forced out, and the vision being gone, I’m finally out. If the board is willing to make sudden, short sighted decisions like this, which I believe is what they did, and with my investment thesis being evaporated, it’s no longer worth the risk to me. I could be wrong but I’m not going to stick around to find out.

Intel has no foundry , they have failed in the fronts they need to succeed in and they are NOT in the top 10 of chips nor capable of beong so, the bail oit they got was NOT becausenof the skill of the ceo, but it just so happened to be in the USA TSMC is now in the USA and Japan each hetting the Chip act funds also, making them the continuous leader, NEBER intel.. they will be spilt up and maybe still be in laptop market..

I like Intel but the brand has suffered a reputational damage with 13th and 14th gen CPU's and AMD eating in the market share.
1 - To late in GPU's market and performance not on par with competition NVIDIA and AMD.
2 - Losing ground in the fabrication business 7 nm and TSMC is on 4nm and going lower.
3 - To late to catch up on the AI trend with Intel Gaudi compared NVidia and AMD.
4- Started building new Fabs in the US but government funds not received yet.
5 - Result getting kicked out of the Dow Jones and replaced by NVIDIA.

Intel Culture needs a change to become competitive again this is not complete Pat fault but prior CEO issues.
Now the board needs to decide to see if it becomes a design company like AMD and NVIDIA or Fabs business like TSMC.

Well done getting a video out so hot off the press. I’m in it for the long term- not selling. Intel is a hugely strategic America 1st company which will be the only player with that needed infrastructure. This is a typical day when people panic sell. Intel is just getting started. Keep up the great work.

We have to point out that Pat Gelsinger is at a 63 years of age. He is at retirement level now, usually first signs of aging come at that time and it was probably wise to end before he would get any more complications. Changing early is better than later. Soon battlemage gpus will come out and then 18a node processors and then new fabs in upcoming years. There is still a solid path paved in front of us, we just need patience. It is a long term investment imo. But what do you think?

I didn't expect Gelsinger to leave so soon either. The main reason is I have no idea who could take his spot. He was supposed to be the one to save the company. There was a lot of enthusiasm when he came in. Unfortunately, many people I know lost their jobs and/or quit in the various managerial reorgs after Gelsinger came in. They all lost their jobs in vain. I feel for the people that are still there now without a clear leader, no profits, and underwater on stock.
