Pakyong, October 12 (IPR): Continuing with the air evacuation operation, the first batches of stranded tourists from Lachung and Lachen safely arrived at Greenfield Airport today.

45 people from Lachen and 40 from Lachung were successfully evacuated.

The tourists are transported by bus to Siliguri which have been made available by the Government of Sikkim.
