Your papyrus is looking fabulous! I can't wait to see it totally finished. Love the beautiful Cyclid fish too! ❤️❤️ Excellent video as usual!
ОтветитьI have used all three, combined watercolor with gouache, but never tried watercolor and acrylic. Looks interesting. Thank you.
ОтветитьThis is a great video with lots of info Michele. Thx as always. 🥰
ОтветитьWow that’s a gorgeous painting with the papyrus! Love the fish especially! I have tried both the watercolor & acrylics separately but not together for mixed media because I did not think 🤔 they would work well. I am hoping to get some gouache soon (I’m leaning towards W&N) to add to my art supplies and one of those stay wet palettes. Thanks so much for going into such great details about the three mediums. Hope you’re enjoying a wonderful day today.
ОтветитьSuch a wealth of info. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you for all the information. Love your videos. 👍
ОтветитьThank you! Great video - VERY informative. And so glad you're doing a 'how to darken watercolor' video. Also looking forward to how to paint watercolor on wood. My brother gave me a piece of boardwalk and has asked me to paint an ocean scene on it. I was thinking about trying Daniel Smith's watercolor ground - but not sure. Hmmm - maybe I should just break out my acrylics, but I've got very little experience using acrylic paint. Hmmm - you've given me food for thought, here.
Great to get a peek of your papyrus painting, too. Looking fabulous!
excellent art lesson.Thanks
ОтветитьGreat video ... like you I only mix up or put out enough paint for a short time and then put out fresh. If I have to mix up a large amount to be used throughout a project I store it in small airbrush jars. For mixing I use a glass cutting board from a discount store .. at the end of the day I just wet it and scrape it clean.
ОтветитьThis is a very useful video. Thank you so much 👏
ОтветитьI love all three painting mediums. Yeah, poster paint, I completely forgot that gouache was also called that. I have given my valuables new coats of paint with acrylic since it goes on almost anything. Acrylic paint can be made by mixing poster paint with PVA glue.
ОтветитьI found a tube of white watercolor a few days ago, it's actually transparent, dries clear and looks like crystal. What is that?
It was make in China, purchased at a discount store. I needed a lot of white for a winter scene, actually a lake with snow
and ice, not sure how to use it. Interesting there is no brand on the tube? Love your videos, I thought of trying gouache for
some subjects, when I don't want transparency.
I paint in adult coloring books and use the acrylic on top of watercolor method most of the time. I've also fallen in love with gouache and use it like both acrylic and watercolor.
Ответитьthank you!! very informative
ОтветитьLove how you organized this tutorial. Clear, linear and great use of examples. Thank you. 🙏💙🌵
ОтветитьLOL ... Michele, I love the way you pronounced Saran Wrap, like the poison nerve gas Sarin. I know how much you love the environment. Just two things from over here on the other side of The Pond ... it's pronounced suh RAN. Also, I can't say definitively, but I have the general impression that Americans used to use "Saran" as a generic name more, but that now "plastic wrap" is more common.
ОтветитьThank you. That was interesting. 🙂
ОтветитьAlways so clear and informative 👌
ОтветитьThat tutorial was just perfect for me Michelle. I'm a raw beginner and initially bought everything for acrylic painting. I will now extend my paints to include water colour. I just wish I had started with water colour first. Anyway thanks for your lesson brilliant.
ОтветитьFor anyone interested in trying out a stay wet palette for acrylics, I highly recommend looking up the DIY options. The reason being that you can figure out if you like it for very cheap and not too much effort. Then you could stick with that or eventually treat yourself to a really good one.
Also, thanks for another great video, Michelle!
Wow, Michelle, that was amazing! So comprehensive. I can see I have many hours I will be spending with you!
ОтветитьYou have covered many important facts about the uses of these mediums which are goingeo
ОтветитьSorry I pressed the send button too soon, but I want to thank you for this wonderful video!
ОтветитьJust brilliant Michele! So much helpful information on so many subjects, all in one video. Thank you 🙏🥰💕
ОтветитьThank you, Michele, you always have such great videos! Love, Nancy
ОтветитьBest info I’ve heard. Great stuff.
ОтветитьCan you demo oil pastels and watercolour. Great video. You are a great teacher.
Ответитьthanks for all the information!
ОтветитьI am relatively new to painting and although I will tend to use watercolour and watercolour pencils I have Gouache paint and also Acrylic paint and didn't understand the differences and how and when to use each medium and I found your explanations very informative. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi .... yesterday I tried sticking watercolour paper with matte medium onto a balsawood panel...and dried it ..it didn't buckle at all despite doing wet on wet
ОтветитьLike your hair
ОтветитьGreat Video! Informative!
ОтветитьSuch a helpful video, thank you!! 😊 I started learning acrylics before watercolour and it’s useful to see how the two mediums differ.
ОтветитьVery useful. Thank you
ОтветитьWould be so helpful if you would talk about pricing for all 3(also include oil paint). And I mean the Pro level paint for all 4 mediums.
Ответитьhaha I was just wondering about gouache and here you are with your excellent video on the topic, thank you!
ОтветитьI’m into Bay Area Figurative Movement and your style looks similar so I appreciate your channel.
ОтветитьVery informative. Thanks
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьMichele, your videos are so informative and practical. Your demonstrations, tips and sense of humour all combine to make them very watchable. Sometimes at work I just listen to them like a podcast. It's obvious you put a great deal of effort into your presentations and take pride in your work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьWow, I came away with an education in this media and am inspired to paint again. -Thank you!
ОтветитьVery well explained i love it👌💃
ОтветитьDefinitely subbed! This video is so helpful! Can’t wait to watch your other stuff 😊❤
ОтветитьMy question is, how you mix gouache and acrylic on your pallet at the same time to make its own color? Is there anything I need to know when doing the combination together before applying it to the paper?
ОтветитьOmg thank you kindly for this very informative video! That’s what I was looking for lol, I’ll be watching more of your videos 👍♥️🦋 Merci, du Nouveau Brunswick, Canada 🍁
ОтветитьThis was the only YT video that was able to answer my question about mixing watercolor and acrylic in one painting. Thank you!
