Soccer in the New World - Part 1 - The history of Soccer in North America

I am incensed, after 5 minutes of watching this video I need to set the FACTS out Properly; The World Name, for The World Game is FOOTBALL .. Our world governing body [F.I.F.A.] means the Federation of International FOOTBALL Associations. Even your Continental/Regional Footballing Body [CONCACAF] means the Confederation Of North Central American - Caribbean Association FOOTBALL. Why do we [The rest Of The WORLD] call it FOOTBALL ... Its simple as we constantly kick and control the FOOTBALL with OUR FEET ... that is why we [The rest Of The WORLD] call it FOOTBALL ... its self Explanatory. The first FOOTBALL governing body [set up in England] was and is called The FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION [The F. A.] When FOOTBALL first came to the U.S.A. your administrators first called themselves The North American Football Association ... it is now called U.S. Soccer.

I know the English narrator uses the word of 'soccer' as It is for the North American audience... BUT beyond the U.S.A and Canada FOOTBALL is The WORLD NAME .... FACT.

Lets look at your silly grid iron game, that YOU call 'football' ... In the latter part of the 1800s the English game of Rugby Union [that game was a spin off from FOOTBALL] was brought to the U.S.A. and Canadian Colleges .... YOU slightly changed some of the play and rules of Rugby Union and called it football although, in reality it is HEAVILY INFLUENCED by the English [hand ball] Game of Rugby Union ... FACT.

To conclude ... the English Upper Class via their British Empire brought FOOTBALL and Rugby Union [you call it football] to the U.S.A. and Canada .... those English Upper Class TWITS shortened Association FOOTBALL and called it 'soccer' and RAGGAH for Rugby.

Why the great arguments ? Let's call it soccball or footer,but seriously, one thing we can all agree is that it's one of the most,if not the most beautiful game in the world .
