200 is my favourite event and at one of my athletics carnivals I was the smallest kid in my race by far and I still won

The club I train at gets a lot of people that come for a short period of time and leave. We have access to the best track in West Yorkshire so people travel from all over Yorkshire to train here then decide that they can't hack the travel. A lot of the new guys are raving about how good they are at 100m and the coach always puts us through our paces at 200m. I'm a shorter guy and out of the regulars I'm better at 100m than 200m (I'm the fastest at both but percentage wise they are closer in the 200m than the 100m) but I always enjoy listening to the newbies bragging before putting them in their places. The way the coach runs the regular sessions covers the 100m, 200m and 400m bases and if you want to specialise she will arrange additional sessions on top of the regular ones. Honestly, I feel that training for 400m has made me a better 100m and 200m sprinter because I know if I can keep up the intensity for 400m, I can keep it up for 100m and 200m too.
