You mentioned the blind beggar in Whitechapel , is it only open part time now I cycled past it mid week it was closed but it was only about 1pm And a few doors away was a council building with a nasty Black Lives Matter banner .

When I first started going to pubs in the 60s it was usually tuppence a pint more in the posh end, and the toilets were in the back yard

Used to drink at the Lamb decades ago, along with the Yorkshire Grey at the top of the road (When it was a brewpub). Use to always enjoy a Youngs Special in the Lamb before they amalgamated breweries with Charles Wells, changed it and weakened it!

New builds will also be history one day.
