Jupiter has its own solar system
ОтветитьI played it on 2× so its more faster than the light
Ответитьmercury was not travelling at the speed of light
Ответитьorbit of mercury is not that big!
Ответитьdamn the camera man must have so much patience
ОтветитьDo the same video but at warp factor 10.
ОтветитьGoes to show how slow it is. You need warp drive.
Ответитьas we get closer to the edge, (if you know your constellations) we can see Orion forming in the lower left hand corner. :) Just found that and I don't see any comments about it. Yay?
ОтветитьHumbled.
ОтветитьIT TAKES ONLY 8 HALF MIN FOR LIGHT TO GET TO EARTH FROM SUN ?
ОтветитьThis is crazy dope
ОтветитьSo, while we travel at that speed; If you look back, you would see the sun just how it looked like the moment you left it.
And if you look ahead, you’d see things happening x times faster, you could see the future before the ones that stayed at the sun.
Am I right?
Makes you appreciate how stupidly far away everything is that even travelling at light speed is so mind numbingly slow... I really want to go to Pluto though, any chance of a second video that does the outer system planets, perhaps filling the time between planets with 1,000,001 interesting space facts? :)
ОтветитьHlo guys!
I have a bizzard question.
The Sun emits many radiations with different length, and one of them is the WHITE light (that comprehend the 7 colors of rainbow)
But suppose that our star doesn't emit this type of light
so what would we see? Everything might turn black? But does the object around us still emit their specific radiation, so we could be able to see them? But take in mind that everything around us is dark, because there is no more the white light"
(If I'm not wrong, the radiation of objects doesn't have to do anything with the solar white light)
I'm only a student, so this question might be silly, but i will be very happy if someone will answer these questions...
Sorry if I made some mistakes, I'm from Italy, so my English is not so good :)
This is awesome!
ОтветитьAWESOME VID.....but HELP!!
Why are the orbit lines for the planets so long?? Is that an error?? Should not the orbit markers
be attached to the PLANETS AS THEY PASS BY? I see the planets all "disappearing" at the vanishing point....
so how in the world (no pun intended), could their orbit markers be sooooo wide??????
Earth vs speed of light ≒ Your house vs speed of sound
ОтветитьSlooooow
ОтветитьWill there ever be a video like this, but going all the way to Pluto?
Ответить"Prepare for Light Speed!" "No no! Light Speed is too slow!" "Too slow?" "Yes; we must go directly to... Ludacris Speed!"
ОтветитьI have ascended, thank you
ОтветитьThe background music should be king of the road by roger miller.
Ответить8 mins 21 secs for light to reach the earth. But that is the time measured from our perspective if we were to measure it from the light's perspective it would reach the earth in 1 min 11 Secs this is cause of Special Relativity. Also Epstein didn't kill himself
Ответитьthe power of a sun is trully stunning
ОтветитьReally makes you realise how empty space is
ОтветитьThe Sun would disappear after 30 years, i.e., in the year 2047 !! Wow !!!
Ответитьso awesome!!
ОтветитьAmazingly intricate, like a Rolex watch, precise movements.
ОтветитьNow I want to see a journey to Alpha Centauri at lightspeed. I have nothing to do the next 4 years anyway.
ОтветитьThey will be no space travel for humans cause we'll never get there.
Ответитьyou ruined the original music
ОтветитьEven the largest objects one can discover out there is but a tiny grain of sand in a desert in comparison
ОтветитьI still believe that we are just at the infancy of our knowledge regarding universe.
Universe's life is measured in billions of years while human's study of science where just a few millennia, while most of our current knowledge came within a century or two ago. We already set the limit of speed to the speed of light just by using a few assumptions without even knowing at least a tenth of all variables.
I, at the least, believe the possibility of instantaneous travel anywhere in the universe. I based my assumption on the fact that despite learning more and more about science, the more I know how many more things we still don't know yet.
Of course, this is not what you would 'see'. But it is nice to imagine.
ОтветитьI love this. Will there be a part 2; Jupiter to Saturn?
Ответитьthis the best!!! thank you, such perspective. bravo
ОтветитьThe problem with this video is that from photon frame of reference, space is flat (in the direction of travel) and there is no time, so this video will just add up to your confusion and non intuitivity! Pay attention that time in this video is from our frame of reference.
ОтветитьWatch at 2x speed and you BREAK THE LAWS OF PHYSICS
Ответитьa time being we thought light speed was fast... seeing this, just sets that thought back to stone age, sort of :) :)
Ответитьthis is the greatest video ever
ОтветитьDarn, traveling through space would be really boring. Light speed is fast enough to make the planets go by very quickly but the space between them is just so much nothing :)
ОтветитьThis content is STOLEN from ogniank "Riding Light - Traversing the Solar System at the speed of light"
ОтветитьLight speed is too slow. Let's do ludicrous speed next time.
