Young prizefighter, Frankie Morgan, wins a fixed boxing match as part of a crime boss's plan to give him a build-up only to have eventually throw a championship fight. While training, Frankie meets attractive Mary Wilson (Merna Kennedy) and falls in love with her. Just before Frankie's championship bout, Mary's kid brother, Arthur (Mickey Rooney), ovehears Frankie arguing with his manager about fixing the fight.
