Drove one of those on a test drive a while back, the 2.0, not bad
ОтветитьZack where oh where can I get such a chiseled jaw line
ОтветитьI had a 2.0t manual that got me through college. Very fun car outside of the terrible rev hang & the heaviest clutch I've ever felt in a sports car lol
ОтветитьWhy he dress up the automatic to look like a manual lol
ОтветитьThinking 340hp as a 1st car seems insane to me
ОтветитьGreat first car to wrap around a tree lol
ОтветитьCan't complain about those power numbers for a first car. Not to brag but I was pushing a blistering 110HP Honda Fit when I got my license, but we all can't be so lucky 😂
ОтветитьI really like this car and will buy one later. V6 NA manual for me. I am not into turbos at all
ОтветитьI haven't seen one of these since probably 2016. The Korean Mustang got cheap really fast, blatted down the road on broken suspension, and either blew up or got wrecked by someone who thought they were a better driver than they were. Now that Hyundai has made a name for itself it should try the Korean Mustang thing again. This would be a good first car. Less cool than a Mustang which is a good thing. Enough power to learn how to control power and a reasonably well-sorted chassis.
I can't imagine keeping a full Autozone car wash product aisle in the trunk of a Hyundai.
The Genesis and Veloster are definitely interesting sports cars from Hyundai, but I would stay away from the brand personally.. but yeah, if you don't intend to keep it long or put any money into it you can still turn heads with something unique. ("whoa, what is that car?")
A clean example of a 2016 Genesis will probably be sold for 1/3 of its original sticker price today ... only 7 years later.
Pretty cool besides the near-guaranteed engine replacement and rebuilt title
ОтветитьRep VQ😎
ОтветитьHyundai scoupe to tiburon to genesis coupe to veloster to no more coupes from hyundai (unless you count vision 74)
ОтветитьI'm surprised these aren't all clapped out and destroyed yet
ОтветитьThis car has side windows that are shaped like a penis. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
ОтветитьI'm so happy to see that you're finally reviewing my car! Shame that it's an automatic, though!
ОтветитьNot a manual, not reliable, probably an awful starter sports car
Ответить340 as a first car? I get in trouble with my 250hp p71
Ответитьi had a 2010 BK1 turbo.....THAT car made driving fun for me and it taught me not to disable TC after a rainstorm after i tried to powerslide into a left turn and then it whipsawed in the opposite direction and almost hit an electrical pole. With the ensuing mediocre fodder i had to drive i appreciate this car so much more
Ответитьone of my fav videos of the car i love great commentary!
ОтветитьHow do you enable bluetooth in this car been trying a while now?
ОтветитьCan this beat a stock 340i?
ОтветитьI wonder why Genesis never reintroduced the coupe or even gave it the 4.6 or 5.0 R-Spec?
ОтветитьI have a stock 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8. My family helped me get it when I was in college around 2017. When the quarantine days started in 2020, I began researching what my car is capable of, and researching cars in general. The 3.8 Genesis Coupes can be built to a 4.0L or 4.2L, and they have reached 603whp or 700whp with single or twin turbo. These options are very limited though. The 2.0 Genesis Coupes are better. Specifically the 2013 or 2014 BK2 2.0. Brian Paul built his 2.0 to 700whp+, and BTR Racing built a 850whp Genesis Coupe. If you don't build the engine, you will blow the engine. Most people end up destroying these cars because they want to add more boost and horsepower. Well, at the end of 2022, I began liking BMW cars for the first time after I learned what the turbocharged engines can do. Personally, I have decided to save up money, get rich, and buy a BMW M240i xDrive (B58) in the future. If I get super rich, I will buy the G87 M2. 348 horsepower was nice to experience, but I'm ready for the next level.
There are people who have LS swapped their Genesis Coupes, 1UZ swapped, and 2JZ swapped their Genesis Coupes. If I did a swap, I would like to have a shop try a 4.0L biturbo AMG or 6.2L AMG. I don't think swapping it or building it is worth it anymore. If I had a 2.0, I would keep it. Most people who are currently trying to purchase a Genesis Coupe will immediately think the 3.8 is the best choice. I highly recommend not getting the 3.8 unless you plan to keep it stock. If you plan to modify the engine, the 2013 or 2014 Genesis Coupe 2.0 is the best option. Again, you will only get 450+ whp with a built motor on either engine platform.
That hole you put the key in is not a charger. If your fob battery dies, you put the key in the slot and you can still drive.
ОтветитьAlso, worst advice ever for a first car. Good way to get kids killed.
ОтветитьI have a 2013 r spec i bought it used last year and its ben in the shop alot but manly cus previous owner messed alot of stuff up but its getting takin care of no longer has down syndrome and it has a rust free frame p.s got it from nj now its in upstate ny lol yes it will be drivin in thr snow its my daily annd its pushing 430hp atm
ОтветитьAs someone who got this car as my first car, I can confidently say don’t do it, I crashed trying to drift 😂😭
ОтветитьAbsolutely not a good first car.
Absolutely a good first sports car. IF you have mechanical sympathy and know how to change the oil...and do it religiously!
Just had a ride in a gorgeous 2013 3.8L 8spd auto with strait pipes, no cats,no mufflers... Hella loud, sounded like a beast, but accelerated with little authority... I was shocked how slow it was Would Never have guessed that was 349hp as it felt more like 250-275 max......could have been the exhaust delete or the auto tranny but it was Not a fast car...just a loud one.
ОтветитьI owned a 2003 Tiburon for 15years and put 250k miles on it.
In my opinion the Tiburon & Genesis were of Hyundai's best cars.
While I drive an SUV now.. I would really like a nice quick fun coupe to play with that is reasonably inexpensive. I'd pick it up in manual 6 speed.
I think this light car matched with the naturally aspirated 3.8 v6 is such a win. I kinda wish it was a hatchback
such a shame they discontinued this car they were rly nice...i seriously consered buying one new...they were a bargin in some markets
ОтветитьNo a good first car would be an acura tl 04-07
ОтветитьCan you tell me if my car vibrates when starting the engine? How else to recover?
Ответитьgood
ОтветитьDoes not charge the keyfob. For starting the vehicle if fob is dead.
ОтветитьIf you're thinking about buying one just do it. I've owned my 2014 ultimate for 6+ years now. Beat on it daily and never had a check engine light or any reason to go to the dealer. Still a solid car with 100k miles and being 10 years old.
ОтветитьReliability a big concern. Plus for this price point you can get an infity Q50 or G37 if you can find one that isnt clapped out. I think an Accord coupe is a better option unless you really need to rwd.
ОтветитьI'd be surprised if you're still doing these videos, but if you are, please go buy a decent camera. Or at least a cell phone that has a good camera. This is unwatchable.
ОтветитьI am the first owner of my 2016 gen coupe, Love the car, so sad how under rated these cars are! they are rare, and getting even rarer.
ОтветитьI bought aHyundai genesis couple in 2018 for a used 2015 ultimate edition from a dealership, paid 22,500 dollars with 22,000 miles and still have it. Issues so far are screen software doesn’t load bluelink.
ОтветитьI daily drive a 3.8 2016 genesis coupe ultimate , love everything about it never had an any problems!
ОтветитьAt least it’s not expensive
ОтветитьFirst time seeing this guy and I love him +2 sub
ОтветитьOoo the v6 i have the 2.0T
ОтветитьWhat about the speakers do they sound good?
Ответить
