So you're in court on a couple serious matters & dressed in a Nike hoodie? Young man how about a suit & tie? You might have had a better chance with the judge. The youth and people have no respect.

The only time I had ever gotten in trouble in my 42 years of life many years back was for a Class B misdemeanor. I showed up to court in a suit and University of Michigan tie. The judge that I had she was Notorious for being mean. She was more than fair with me because I had no criminal record up until that point and she complimented me for being one of the few to dress appropriately in her courtroom. The way you dress in court no matter what you're there for speaks volumes to the judge.

The kids lawyer sucked. Not defending the kids dumb actions but his lawyer did absolutely nothing. Didn’t even negotiate with the prosecutors. The end of the video where his lawyer says “yeah” makes me think he wanted to see the kid go to jail lol

We'll all be lucky if he does 1/2 that time. We should change our laws to require minimum 85% time served with good behavior only applying after that time period.

Eight years for a non-fatal single-car accident is crazy. Yes, I know he didn't take probation seriously, but to give him nearly the full extent of the sentence is wild. He will probably get out in four to five years but will go right back on probation, just to start the cycle all over again.
