Just a thought on the dog and wedding money: there is a moral element to this that doesn’t come up on the show. I was just approached in my car by someone who needed food. I had peanuts and an apple on the car and gave it to him. He was so grateful. When we put 50k on a wedding or $500 a month on dog food, we are CHOOSING to not put that money into helping the poor and needy.

What if these folks were to spend $300 a month on dog food and donate $200 a month to the animal shelter, to help them feed, treat, spay, neuter, and advertise shelter pets, to hire the staff and vets they need. Imagine if all those “dog lovers” were to share the love… just imagine how much better those shelters could do!

What if the engaged couple spent $5k on their wedding and gave out $45k in micro loans to help families in the developing world start businesses so they can lift their kids out of poverty.

Having money comes with responsibility. Jesus took one loaf and fed a crowd. Charity and good works are the BOTTOM LINE of Judeo-Christian values. After debt is paid, we have a responsibility to help.

Dogs get better care because families are having fewer kids, so their dog is treated like one of their kids.

When looking at full time homesteading, the wisdom says to have three streams. On homestead, off homestead, and online. Try to keep all streams focused on goals, so all in the homesteading world. Diversifying means you have cushion if something tanks for a season and you can pivot.

Clark Howard says that credit cards give up to 60 days to discover a false charge and debit cards only gives 2 days to discover a false charge. If the discovery is not made within that period, then you may not be able to get your money back.
Who is right on this?

People should just cook for their pets like any third world, or even European animals. You could literally get meat and vegies from the food pantry and use that for your fur-babies' meals. Costco rotisserie is like, $6-7, you only need like four of those a month, and use veggies from the damn pantry, jeez.

Today my husband's car needed repairs of $2600, we had $1500. My hubby said we should just get a credit card 💳 for the balance of $1100! I said "No honey " you can drive my car, I'm working from home" just let them keep the car & I'll hustle to get balance in few weeks! Dear George, Horses are pets!! I have 3 horses they all know their names, and know me out of a crowd of people. My horses are in my will should anything happen. Just like my dogs, the horses are family members & I will take care of them for life. Please stop spreading the message that horses aren't pets and are disposable (from an earlier show "sell the horse"😢). Sincerely, a horse lover for life
